  1. You resolder the dry joints on the pcb circuit board on the back of the speedo clock itself and not the tracking on the film. You will need to take the front dash cover off, remove 3 screws that hold the speedo and the 3 screws that hold the boost guage then draw the clock towards you from the front of the dash to remove. HTH cheers Graham
  2. firstly, iirc, the jap clocks read in kph and send the signal to the ecu. Using a converter changes kph to mph by tricking the ecu into thinking its going slower, also affects the speed restriction and power steering. Looking at your vid, the clocks are not uk and are reading in kph and therefore suggest to me that the clocks are jap with a mph sticker on the face. the speedo can be changed to read mph by changing the resistor on the pcb board on the speedo to 100ohm iirc, but would still need calibrating by adjusting the potetionmeter ( probably spelt wrong) Fitting uk clocks: I was informed that they will read the speed in mph but the signal the jap ecu receives will be out, therefore getting the ecu chipped will cure the problem as well as remove the rev limiter and speed restrictor. I have uk clocks and a chipped ecu in my na and the speedo reads about as close as its gonna get with the sat nav. HTH
  3. I have uk clocks in my na and are fairly accurate with the sat nav, i also have chipped ecu which i think helps. The boost gauge wont work obviously, but everything else works as it should
  4. Im up for this, might bring the other half and the kids as its not too far for them to travel.
  5. Here are a couple of pics hth
  6. I have them, they fit well and sound great, but can be a bit boomy inside the car. Good value for money.
  7. Happy birthday Dave, all the best :duffer::duffer::duffer:
  8. Hi Wing glad youre ok, not a good thing to have at any age, but no need to apologise lol
  9. If its an auto, its the diagnostic which, depending on how many flashes, determines the problem. However ive had this a few times in the past and hasnt done it since, you may have a short somewhere or there may be a problem with speed sensor. HTH
  10. The 31mm festoon leds with the the leds inside the glass tube are better. The 9led boards with the caps on each end tend to bend under the pressure of the retaining bulb contacts and a few bumps later short out, you may be lucky though. 501's for the map lights
  11. Really sorry to hear about your situation, i had a similar choice a few months ago, i got rid of the house and now live rent free with my new bird, sounds extreme, but got sick of fighting a losing battle, this poxy government doesnt help either. I hope you get what you want for your zed, best of luck Graham
  12. Happy birthday Mark hope you got your pods working now, have a good one:duffer:
  13. Although its plug in and play, it depends on what modifications you have on the car to match the chip specs otherwise you may get running problems. It will remove the rev limiter and speed restriction, but you need to know what else the chip is programmed for. HTH Cheers Graham
  14. I used to have a book on the best places to stay, but if you google some for the areas you are going im sure you will find loads. Alternatively you could stay in an etap, really cheap clean and 1 room sleeps 3. No breakfast but if its just to sleep then ideal. Cheers Graham
  15. the power steering ecu is next to the main ecu in the passenger footwell

I would be up for it, but im working away the last weekend of August, hopefully a weekend will be set to suit the majority, if its not the last weekend then im in. Cheers Graham
  19. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=122118&highlight=speed+sensor Hopefully this might help You could also have dry joints on the speedo circuit board, which can affect the power steering, as the signal goes through the speedo then to the ecu. You may have a faulty ecu, but more likely to be a wiring fault.
  20. Its not the fact that its an n/a auto or a manual TT the clocks will fit, however iirc it depends which series car they have come from, as they do differ with the connectors. I have a jap N/A auto and have put in uk clocks, hence the boost guage. Hope this helps Cheers Graham
  21. There is a huge difference, compared to normal sky also, the HD channels are great especially if the programme has been filmed in HD, the rest of the channels appear clearer, must be upscaled to a better resolution when you have the HD package. Ive moved recently and had my packages stopped till im ready to get it back on and the pic quality isnt as good as with the HD package. So in short, you will like.......
  22. Sorry Dave, i didnt explain that very well lol I dont mean there is a dimmer module for the fuel light, its that the filament bulb when it receives a flicker of voltage the bulb appears to dim up and down, but will be on full once the reading is virtually empty
  23. The bulb dims on and off with the fuel level, my fuel has been running low many times over the past few months and believe me it does. on my van if the fuels low it flashes on and off and more constant the lower the fuel gets on my zed as the fuel is getting below the line the bulb dims up and down slightly, becoming more constant when nearing empty.
  24. The NA has an electric drivers seat, at least mine does. I can only assume it may have been cut if after market seats were once fitted
