electric guitar knowledge :)
Does the guitar have a trem system? if so, take the back plate off and the main earth for the guitar is attached to the spring holder. Usually the input jack of the guitar, if its been turned a few times to tighten the 2 wires get twisted and often break

How to wire up LED conversion
Im sorry J, should have included some instructions lol. Mirror switch, takes its light feed from the ashtray light feed, hence the snap locks. You will see the 2 wires to the ashtray bulb holder, with the ends stripped on the wires on the mirror switch insert into the back of the bulb holder to test for polarity, ie: it will only light one way. When you have found the positive and ground feed, use the snap locks to join the wires from the mirror switch to the ashtray illumination. The door window switches, you have 2 options, if you want them to be able to dim, then you need to run a live and a ground feed to the clock illumination wires in the centre console, you could wire to the light pod, but easier to do at the clock. Second option is to ground to the door and just run 1 wire from the door, pass to the glovebox feed and the drivers side to the pod, but to be honest, with the cards out and having to run a wire anyway, you are better off with option 1. Hope this helps, if you need anymore detail, let me know Cheers Graham

Auto Gearbox not "kicking down"
Ok if its been sat a while and you have no history, i would recommend you change the gearbox oil and clean the oil strainer, The TPS is the throttle position sensor on the right hand throttle body, its a little black box. I does what it says on the tin and more likely to cause the gear change problem on an auto if not set correctly, do a search for TPS and many threads will reveal what to do and how to set it correctly. Also in the faq storage area http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=43 pics of the tps on the engine http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26120 and pretty much anything else you might have questions about. Good luck and enjoy your project Graham

Auto Gearbox not "kicking down"
Has this always happened or a new occurrence? Your TPS may be out, which will affect the gear change on an auto, also when was the gearbox oil changed?

air con refill point
IIRC blue in, red out, give Jefftt a call or pm he does them on a regular basis. But the recharge goes into the suction side, on the side of the compressor and evacuation by the rear connection on the compressor, have a look at the diagram in the manual http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=ha&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=62&design=default&total=168 Graham

reverse light type...
There are only 2 bulb holders in the rear panel for the reverse lights, the top lense has nothing behind it apart from being lit by the one bulb per side. You will need to make something to fit unfortunately

rear calipers and disk width
The 26mm discs were pre 1990 and not '96, the rear discs were the same for TT and N/A 297mmx18mm front discs post 1990 280mmx30mm

Rear wiper yes or no??
Hi Mark, I got the reverse camera ages ago off ebay, it wasnt expensive, but it was in its own housing and would have been too bulky looking on the back of the car, so i took it apart and just used the board which the camera was mounted too. I will try and find the link. For the interior relay aswell, i thought you got it sorted as i hadnt heard from you for a while. Cheers Graham

Hi Paul, just for your info, it doesnt matter what colour the tailgate lip is, as you will need to smooth it into the tailgate then have it sprayed as one panel. Cheers Graham

max speed in 2nd (auto)
By the way, if you get a solicitor, get one that deals with highways law, the run of the mill ones wont do you much good, or you can get a court appointed solicitor on the day, most of the time they will have dealt with numerous driving convictions Just think if you win your case, you can subscribe with the money you saved, you tight ass :lol:

Thats fine, go to court, he can state what he wants, but without the vital evidence it wont hold up. Unfortunately you got the court summons because you, wanted it to be heard in court, but there was no other way this was going anyway. You either pay the fine and except liability or go down the road your taking, no brainer. Even though it will be a straight forward case, i would advise a solicitor to represent you rather than representing yourself. The judge or prosecution can twist things in their favour, as you are not aware of the points of law, like a solicitor would. I only know this as i got done a couple of times in the last 7 years for my van being overweight. The copper got all the calculations worked out wrong and with a good solicitor i could have had the case dropped, but unfortunately i represented myself and the judge decided to work out what the weight should have been had the copper got his maths right, bummer. ANy way good luck with it, i wouldnt lose any sleep over it Graham

If its his word against yours, i would stand your ground and deny it. Without proof they dont have a leg to stand on, they are relying on you coughing up and holding your hands up. They cant even prove you were speeding excessively, unless the patrol car following you has a speed log, if he wasnt following you and just had the defective speed gun, then happy days
