  1. Hi Howard, the wing mirror wiring is on a plug inside the top of the door, so easy job Graham
  2. Thats good, always worth remembering, that with any problem, try to go back to basics, ie how things were wired before a mod was done etc.. 1 less problem to worry about now Dave
  3. :happybday: have a good one :happybday:

  5. Hi and welcome to the forum, put up some more details or pics of your car lol
  6. No problems at all, most have upgraded to grooved or drilled or both, it helps with cooling and brake fade
  7. There are loads, just, enter 300zx air filter in ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-200SX-300ZX-ALMERA-AIR-FILTER-INDUCTION-KIT-/250630389353?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a5abc3e69 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLUE-INDUCTION-KIT-AIR-FILTER-100NX-200SX-300ZX-ALMERA-/150328424587?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item230045b88b http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RED-INDUCTION-KIT-AIR-FILTER-100NX-200SX-300ZX-MICRA-QX-/150328779629?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item23004b236d
  8. I agree on that one, my front right shocker is knackered thanks to a deep pothole, only been on the car a month:cursing: The car might have made it, but after knowing its there is a different matter, lucky escape really from what could have been.
  9. Fuel is at a ridiculous price, i filled my van up the other day, £105. I usually put about £40-£60 in the car as needed but havent filled it up for a while.
  10. The cambelt or the ancillary belts? The closest guy to you who has a track record with zeds is silverbullet (Mark) on the forum, not too far away from you.
  11. Pads or discs Dave to be honest are the main culprits. If for instance its been braked fairly hard then held at a stop with the brake depressed, the excess heat will build up in that area of the disc, if it has been done on a regular basis then it will have created hot spots on the disc which can lead to distortion in the disc. It may only be very minimal, but enough to cause a judder later on
  12. Looking great there mate, as above, sorry you had been ripped off, i know how that feels. Keep us updated with the pics
  13. Ive bought one off ebay for about £20, just the filter and its been fine. Probably not the best around, but it keeps the crap out of the maf and filters the air, job done.
  14. Hi Dan, Are you talking about the ancillary belts? power steering, alternator. The belts have ribs on the back to make contact with the grooves in the pulleys, but if it has cracks then i would say it may be warn. It depends on the mileage of the car, but for the cost its worth replacing them. The main timing belt, behind the black timing cover, is recommended to be changed at 60k miles, so might be worth considering also for peace of mind. Graham
  15. My bad lol, didnt read the last bit of your post properly :sleep1:
  16. It should also be stamped on your vin plate Chris
  17. Auto or manual? You can take an illumination feed from the auto selector bulb feed in the bottom right of the unit or if not and you dont want to take the dash apart and you already have the centre console apart, move a step back to the ashtray light feed, Red wire is the live for the illumination. The only draw back is the ashtray light does not dim, but you can also take an illumination feed from the cigarette lighter light feed. There is only the one wire, the ground is from the case of the cig lighter. HTH
  18. LOL http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=117004
  19. If you look in the faq section Dave under dash removal, that will show you the steps to get the console out. Once the console is out the gaitors are screwed in with a metal frame, very easy to do.
  20. Yes it can, undo the screw in the handle and the 2 on each end of the targa caps and the panel comes off. It was only glued on so the old glue has died, as many do. Really easy job to do, i redid mine in leather. You get a similar problem with the top of the rear panels either side of the rear bench.
  21. Number plate bulb is a 501, the same as the dash bulbs, easy to get from any motorfactors or garage, Halfords etc
  22. The block must have got intensely hot for that to happen. If the engine failed on the head gasket, the block must have boiled itself and melted the hard plastic/ poly of the det sensor
  23. Yes pads are the same
  24. No worries Dave, i know the feeling
  25. I already told you lol, with the led at the top, top terminal is ground/earth, middle to the fog, and the bottom is the live feed.
