  1. Took about 30-40 hours over a period of a few weeks. Being a lazy git, i used everything machine based i could, to make it quicker or less tedius from a power file to an orbital sander using different grades, then onto wheels, course to polishing mops.
  2. Cheers guys, i polished the plenum myself. It will get another quick final buff when i bolt it all back together, everything is just laid on for the minute to see how it will look. When im happy it will all be bolted, using polished allen bolts for everything visible.
  3. After polishing the plenum and originally polished the cam covers, i felt it was too much and needed breaking up with some colour, so having some cans filled with the colour that the car will eventually be, i got to work and sprayed the covers and the balance bar. Still got the coil pack brackets and the cambelt covers to do yet and the throttle cover to tie it all together. Here are a couple of shots with the covers polished, as you can see, there is no definition: And painted: And got my japspeed manifolds fitted, although still have to get the drivers side O2 sensor hole moved:yes:
  4. It could be, i got new Tokico gas shocks on the rear, but went back to oem on the front ( long story involving a pothole lol) all sit fine now, worth a try changing the shock that seems too low.
  5. You might have already checked, but i found with mine, that the the rear eibach springs are different from the front, ie the smaller diameter of the spring is different. I didnt realise this when i only had my fronts done, until i came to fit the rears lol. I had to take all my shocks off and start again and now all sit perfectly. You will find that one pair of springs will only fit on the rear. If you are having problems with the seating of the tail on a spring for the rear then that may be your problem.
  6. Welcome to the club Tank, i think if you put on the original front bumper, it will finish off the look nicely, good buy.
  7. The alignment tool is to line up the friction plate with the pressure plate, you dont need it to fit into the shaft hole
  8. It sounds like it could be VVT springs, variable valve timing cuts in at higher revs, which is why you dont hear it until tickover. You will need to take of the cam cover anyway to get to them, so i would also check your timing belt tensioners while youre there. Mr F has the springs and oil O rings, very easy to change once you have your timing covers off.
  9. :happybday: all the best on your birthday :happybday:
  10. :happybday: have a great day Paul :happybday:
  11. Well maybe if more people looked in it, there would be less questions to answer for the same ole same ole :sleep1: then again, some of you would have nothing to talk about
  12. Been like it for years and your the first to point it out lol. It has to be changed by admin.
  13. No problem, they are wrapped and ready to go and someone will be here. Cheers Graham
  14. Nice one Anthony, more pics of the flocking please. I still have these panels wrapped ready to go, are you sorted now or do you still want them? Cheers Graham
  15. You only need the cloth so not to damage it, when using a pair of stilsons or molegrips.
  16. Ok, the wire you cut is the yellow wire, this comes from the speedo sensor, that goes into your plug into the back of the dash, this is then connected to the yellow of the delimiter box and the violet wire to the speed in, screw on the back of the speedo with the symbol 2p. You will notice with the plug in the dash which wire ( yellow) is inline with the 2p track. Apart from the wires to power the module, imagine the delimiter box as an inline fuse. Or simply put Yellow - yellow, violet to the yellow in the plug

  22. Well done Gary, a credit to the community.
  23. I just bought a couple of new ones from Mr. F, they are about £4 each, so well worth the investment lol
  24. Bonnet lol, if the adjustable bumper rubbers are knackered, gone or not adjusted, then the bonnet will squeak and its horrible isnt it?
