  1. BTT anyone know any different :) cheers Jon.. :duffer:
  2. Cheers Greg, yeah thinks it's straight forward, anyone have a series 2 PTU that can confirm that the 'G' is the ground.. ;) cheers Jon..
  3. Right on the series 2 PTU pins it has E1 to E6 which relates to the coilpacks I guess, marked 1-6 on the series 1 PTU. The pins on the other side of the series 2 PTU has 1,2,3 G 4,5,6 and on the series 1 they are 1,2,3,4,5,6 E. I presume the G is for ground/earth which is also E on the series 1.. Hope this makes sense, can anybody confirm this is correct... :hyper: I'm relocating my PTU, but I don't have the connectors so I'm gonna make a new loom up, just want to make sure of the connections ;) cheers Jon..
  4. :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal :D
  5. PMSL :D cheers Jon.. :duffer:
  6. Ok I think we've established it is the hinge and not the catch :slap: cheers Jon..
  7. Thats exactly what I did lol, got me missus to drive me zed eek :x: Whilst I put me arm out the window to press the bonnet down  ;) cheers Jon..
  8. I had this same rattle too, sounded like it was coming from behind dash. Anyway later found it was the passenger side bonnet hinge, the pivot bolt had worn causing play which allowed it to chatter especially at higher speeds. TBH your better of getting a replacement hinge maybe off one of the traders with no play in it... :duffer: cheers Jon.
  9. ;) I had exactly the same as that Paul, well both sides. It's where the car over the years has been jacked up at the point where the bottom of the wing bolts to the sill. I cured mine by getting a lump of 3" by 2" wood, placing it on the seam at the joint between wing and sill then smacking it until the seam was straight. Then undid the two 10mm bolts (6mm threads, think I had a couple snap so drilled 'em out then tapped 'em again), then you cvan just get that final adjustment put bolts back in and tighten, jobs a good 'un. By the way make sure you clean out the bottom of the wing inside after you unbolt it, bet you will find a load of soil and shite there which could cause rust...You can pull wing out gently from the bottom just to get in and clean, but don't go too far otherwise you could crease it ... hope that helps... ;) cheers Jon..
  10. :) Really can't make my mind up whether to go for the ally subframe bushes or the poly ones. Does anybody have either if so what are your opinions on 'em ;) cheers Jon..
  11. I had this problem on my old mitsu starion, turned out to be a faulty P/S pump. Bit scary as well when your turning as normal then all of a sudden you have to put double the effort to turn the steering wheel....lol

  16. No you may not  :) Of course, in total this little project has cost me approx. £500 :duffer: This includes the machining costs and a few pondering hours by myself lol   cheers Jon..
  17. Cheers M8, tell me about it took a while but got there in the end, finally found a guy local that knows how to use a cnc machine lol... ;) I already collected the plenum M8, saw your old man in his garage one day as I was passing so stopped and picked it up :p thanks for that bud ;) On a different note, definatly leaning towards a colour change to a nice blue of some sorts or I may just stick with the fridge look, decisions, decisions... :) cheers Jon..
  18. cheers Chunk. They are Brembo discs 330mm X 32mm, got some grooved and cross drilled ones that may be going on instead... A lot of work has gone into fitting these brakes I can tell you.. :duffer: cheers Jon...
  19. Well what can I say about these stoppers, has been a longish project but in the end it was well worth it. They fit a treat and the difference in the braking is truly awsome!  Certainly gives more confidence to me with scrubbing high speed off makes the car much more enjoyable  Sorry guys just had to let this out... :slap: :duffer: cheers Jon..
  20. It's usually the pivot ball that snaps, the clutch fork locates on to pivot ball, I put an uprated one on when I got my RPS clutch from SMITHY, who also supplied the tougher pivot ball, think they're about £30ish... Good luck hope it's not too bad... cheers Jon... :duffer:
  21. If I were you I'd get ya membership going only £20, not only to get your PM box activated but for great help, advice and deals/groupbuys etc... cheers Jon.. ;)
