  3. Congrats it's coming together mate, will pop down this week and have a gander, I have got some near enough new R33 GTR front pads left if you want them, they are black diamond..;) cheers Jon:duffer:
  4. very sad... Thanks for letting me know Mike, awful, awful news  I never met Jay but spoke to him over the phone a few times, he was the guy that bought my old 300ZX about 18 months ago, never got got to meet him as he bought my car just off photos and I arranged with him to drop the car off with one of his best friends... What a very sad and tragic loss....RIP Jay   Jon
  5. :nana2: I'm made up for you both M8, tell her well done from me... :hyper: cheers Jon..
  6. I'm sorry, been and done a terrible thing, bought this car below please forgive me.. :nelson: So far extremely chuffed with it, far from being standard lots of goodies on it.. Full blooded UK 6 speed manual.. :hyper: Just gotta decide what to do with my zed now.. Not sure whether to break it or not... :(
  7. Looks great Mike can't wait to see it.. Great set up ;) cheers Jon
  8. :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal  I am reading this right arn't I you have your old faithful back.... :hyper: Well good on you M8 you know it makes sense, i think you may be a little crazy but hey.... Banana all the way, keep hold of her this time m8... :D ;) cheers Jon..
  9. Cheers Guys :duffer: , thats what I was after. I think I should be ok 'cos it will leave about 25mm all round and I'm not altering spacing or sizing of the digits in anyway... cheers Jon..
  10. Does anyone know if it would be acceptable by mr plod / Law to trim a rear number plate. What I would like to do is trim the 2 smallest sides (vertical) on a standard number plate by about 30mm each side. My car has a private plate on so there would be ample room to do it, due to there only being 5 digits... :duffer: So does anyone know if this is permissble? thanks Jon.. :)
  11. Cheers for that Mike. :duffer: There is also Stuart in Morecambe known as 'Stuey0604'
  12. I'm all for it but I agree this time it needs to be pushed to the max. The whole country needs to make a stand... Something like 85% is just pure tax for the goverment bringing in 22 billion or somewhere round there give or take a few billion lol.. :xxx: easy money isn't it! Really does piss me off though 'cos they have us by the danglies  ..... cheers Jon..
  13. here we go http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=46495
  14. I've had these fitted to mine for about 6 month's now, from an evo 7 (same as 6 & 8), the actual caliper is larger then the R33/34 calipers. Awsome compared to 300 standard breaks even just cruising round the feel is instant bite. They are the same calipers based on what was fitted to the F40. I thnik they called it the EVO 6 party piece 60mph to zero in 2 secs... I try and dig out the link when I posted about 'em.. cheers Jon..
  15. Oh right, yeah I've taken the diff off mine to do the poly bushes and other bits and bobs. It's a doddle off the car, I stood it on axle stands got it fairly level, as I say mine took 2 litres until it was flowing back out at me. IMHO I'd rather slightly under fill it than over fill it TBH. cheers Jon..
  16. Yes indeed, I must admit I quite like them, not as good as looking as zed maybe, but tuning wise they are a damn sight easier to get big hp from than a zed. My M8 has a jspec auto, hes just gone to a single T61 turbo, tubular manifold UK injectors and cams because they are bigger, through an SAFC2 few other bits and pieces all through an auto box, pushing out 510RWHP. :duffer: and at the cost of approx. £3K. cheers Jon.
  17. Hiya m8, Just changed the oil in my Diff (UK), I've not removed the cooler, but the diff alone took just over 2 litres, I put in Silkolene SA90 GL5 LSD oil, just make sure the oil you get is for limited slip diffs. Just fill it via the 1/2" plug (on the drivers side if you will) towards the back of the diff until it starts to dribble back out, make sure your zed is pretty level to get an accurate amount in too.. hope that helps cheers Jon..
  18. I've got the so called 'caravan style lights', I think they look cool especially on my white zed. They are made by Hella and if there good enough to fit on 2001 Lambo Diablo and Pagani Zonda there good enough for me.... cheers Jon..
  19. No way was that sh*t show the best solution. Sure it was Michelin at fault 100% no dispute, but the FIA needed to decide on a sensible decision for everyone, instead nothing but total confusion right up till the end of the formation lap. As Martin Brundle said, a chicane being erected would'nt have caused the drivers to much of a problem, especially if they would have been given several laps to get used to it, as I suggested and alter set-ups on the cars... They are after all meant to be the elite top drivers that can deal with any situation that may arise...and seeing as politics is usually decided by a majority I'm shocked nothing was sorted out... I do agree with the angry fans being stupid and throwing cans of bud onto the main straight, very dangerous indeed, they should of just abandoned the whole race, to just have 6 cars go round was just hiddeous IMHO.. :slap: :nono: cheers Jon..
  20. Nice one M8, as they say have a good 'un  cheers Jon..
  21. I think to avoid the whole sorry F**K up  , they should have, maybe as an example, sorted what to do last night instead of all this political *****cks :slap: , gone with the chicane idea to get round the safety concern, BUT, this morning given the drivers say 10 laps or so to get used to the chicane and alter the setups to the cars and say the 10 or so laps would be knocked off the total race laps, therefore no driver/teams would be at a disadvantage.... Seems like a simple solution to me, we know one or two teams might kick up a fuss but everybody would then be in the same boat... All IMHO of course... Can't blame the yanks for being p*ssed either, bloody joke cheers Jon..
  22. Glad to hear shes running good M8, nice one :D :duffer: all the best cheers Jon..
  23. My deepest thoughts are with you and your children Kenny.................. Totally lost for words :(
  24. I'm just in the process of removing the carbon canister, just wanted to check that I've got to pipe the fuel tank vent line to the small pipe on the bottom of the canister, that comes off the large pipe, it's the lowest pipe seems to disappear under the front crossmember.. All other vac lines to be capped. Can anyone confirm this is right? Also I'm going to strip the PRVR solenoid out as well is it just again a case of blanking off the vac lines? What do I do with the vac line going to the FPR? There is also what looks like 2 vac lines dissappearing into the inner wing near the battery  Thanks anyone :) Jon..
  25. Yeah it's gotta be right that, cheers bud ;) Must get another copy of the Z manual, sure I lent it out can't find the bugger any where.. cheers Jon.. ;)
