  1. :hyper: Managed to get the EGR valve off, had to cut the pipes several times to be able to manouvre it round, the main PITA was the large coolant pipe that dissappears down the length of the block. :slap: So all I gotta do now is take the manifold plug to work weld a bit of plate over the top, bung it back in and then plug the pipes going under each side of the plenum, and remove the vac line.. :hyper: :D cheers Jon...
  2. I've tried a spanner on it, but what I'm best doing is cutting the pipe so I can get a 22mm ring spanner on it and because of the angle the spanner is positioned, I'll be able to get a ruddy great bar on the end of it 'cos it just clears the transmission tunnel.. ;) He says :nelson:
  3. bung me your address(s) (PM or email) and I'll post a set of O-rings for the balance bar... ;) I've got access to an O-ring kit both metric and imperial, but found the metric ones are the best fit :slap: cheers Jon...
  4. cheers Andy :duffer:  pretty much what I thought, been looking at it and it don't look too bad to do... 22mm spanner for the manifold bolt so suitable stop end should do the trick. I ditched the Aiv's already and where the pipes came off the downpipes I welded an M16 bolt head in place, until I can get some nice shiney spanking S/S pipes... I will rip it off tomorrow, yay more skin off knuckles lol.... :slap:
  5. the moment, installing a lovely RPS clutch from Smithy  I've been eyeing up the EGR valve, thinking of removing it altogether.. Can it be done successfully this way? Am I correct in thinking, remove pipe from left manifold (passenger) and plug, and then cut the two pipes going to the plenum close to the EGR body (then remove from under plenum afterwards or even at a later date, plug the ends??), then unbolt EGR itself and plug the vac line... :hyper: It looks to me like it's possible to do, has anyone else attempted removal with the gearbox outta the way.. :) cheers Jon...
  6. Top job with the Alcantara :hyper: Have you got the guy's details who supplied you with it? cheers Jon... ;)
  7. if it's service items it can be literally 2 or 3 days usually UPS or FED EX, I've never waited more than a week for any parts, I guess it depends whether the parts you require are in stock. Sometimes even quicker than ordering from Nissan UK but that's no surprise :slap: cheers Jon.. ;)
  8. yeah as far as I know it's 24 lifters as in 24 valve, 1 lifter per valve ;)
  9. when I owned a very nice 3000GT, briefly (UK spec), I raced my mate who bought my old 300 off me, both pretty much stock, coming back from Grasshopper as I remember. We had a bit of a duel, but there was literally nothing in it up to about 100mph, on our local racetrack!! :D :slap:
  10. the other week when I was visiting my family.... Excellent condition, big brakes, bright yellow nice motor... :slap:
