Tip for cleaning sooty SS exhausts...
spray mine (my tailpipes that is) with WD40, then the black deposits can't stick very well, with minimal effort they kinda wipe clean..every 2-3weeks.... cheers Jon..;)

Back From PPS
Looks another fine zed painted by PPS, top notch.... I'm looking at respray in the next few month's, probably take that long to get booked in considering the standard of the work, nice one M8!!;)

RAF Fairford airshow....
Anyone else go, was bloody brilliant!!!:D Got a bit sunburnt even though there wasn't much sun. The star of the show for me is always the Rockwell Lancer B1-B bomber the loudest big bruiser there, really ground shaking performance, setting of loads of car alarms in the car parks...lol.. Went in me M8's Mk4Supra TT which made a nice change although a little dissapointed that I did'nt see any zeds. :D :D cheers. Anyone else get there?

Probably had to the best grandprix I've seen for a while as well as being the british one..... Loads of overtaking, aggressive driving and the odd madman running up the hangar straight dressed like the jolly green giant, what a complete to**er..... excellent!!!!!!!:D :D :D

De-catting
It's a piece of cake!! All you need to do is drop the downpipes off and go for attack, attack lol.. Have no mercy and smash the guts outta them, the cats that is...Nice result in the way of sound and performance, plenty on this subject so just do a search...... Or you can get pukka de-cat pipes for £200 squids, think AndyZ has some? cheers Jon.....;)

sounds like a bag of nails
as it was my car!!! Rattles and rumbles used to come and go but worst when warming up to normal temp, but kinda quieter after a long run, but like Andy says could've been anyone of those things or a combination....... Hope you get it sorted..... cheers Jon...;)

tyre pressures
33psi for the fronts & 36psi for the rears, the rears also tend to be a bit sensitive to inaccurate pressures, kinda skips about if too low... cheers Jon....;)

Diesel vibration!
remove front wheels, peel back the inner arch lining just a few screws & clips, nearest the back of the bulkhead... You'll see all the gubbins that's associated with the AIV, a few more bolts and all comes off, chop the pipe that goes to the top of the wing, take out the vacuum tubing and plug the end up.. Did mine at the weekend..only takes 10mins each side...... cheers Jon....;)

Small slight problem........
The wiper also activates at the same time as the headlight washers, when the lights are turned on.. Anybody know where the relay for the headlamp washers is located, looked in the manual but it's not quite clear..

Tension Rods
some forsale on EBAY at the moment, don't know if they're SS though, but not long to go on the auction either... cheers Jon....;)
-
Small slight problem........
I can't turn me headlights on me zed.....with out emptying the entire contents of the washer bottle lol.. Even switching on the side lights causes the silly headlamp soakers to activate...First noticed it when I flashed someone to come pass and got showered..... Anybody had this problem before, guess it must be a relay somewhere that's failed, still if no joy I'll just disconnect the blasted headlamp washer motor..... But on more of a positive note I have no more irritating noises from the engine thanks to Mr Duffman as he worked his magic with a 60K service, thanks again Andy!!!;) No more prop vibes thanks to a new centre bearing and gearbox mount, oh & while I was underneath fixed the 'no reversing lights fault which was simply a broken wire on the switch, and decatted the exhausts, from which I am most impressed with both performance and sound, but also 'touch this keyboard' no sign of smoke, yet......lol Ah well end of essay..... Jon....;)

How do you get to yours?
1981 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.3L (oh dear, but it was given to me!) 1975 Mini clubman 1000cc , shared a 1988 metro cityx 1.3, 1988 Mitsubishi Starion W/B 2.0 turbo with many mods, unfortunatly sold it to a friend so it came to a sad end in the shape of a lamp post, 1992 UK 300ZX TT, with some nice mods but getting a bit tired, 1994 UK 3000GT, went to the darkside but saw the light, nice to look at but too boring to drive.... so another zed evolved in the shape of Craig's old white 1992 UKTT....... yeh.....:D :D :D :
