  1. Any idea how late-registered you can get Supras? I've seen one 2002 car for sale but are there any later ones out there?
  2.  Thanks mate
  3. I've paid my £20 and am a full member now  I've stuck a couple of pics of my car in the 'rides' section if anyone's interested. (I've since changed the front numberplate to a import-style one). Also, what powers do I have on the forum now I'm fully paid up? I'm keen to 'boss' the place and muscle in on the snout racket. ;)
  4. I've found I CAN get my ECU re-programmed on my 99 NA auto.  I think it'll remove the 130mph top speed limiter and give me more go in the gears and raise the rev limiter to 7200rpm. Does anyone know if this is a good idea? What effect will it have on engine (or other bits) life? Any idea how much more 'go' I'll feel in the gears? What about fuel consumption? And any idea how fast it'll go with no limiter? I'd like to get it done but not if it'll cause problems. Thanks gents (and ladies)
  5. There's certainly no tobacco in it, as I understand.
  6. PMSL It's strange. If a woman says 'no' but you think she means 'yes', you're meant to trust what she says and ignore your instincts. But if they say they're old enough but you suspect they're under age, you're meant to trust your instinct and ignore what they say. Clearly some problem with the law here.
  7. I saw an old mate recently and he told me he'd invented a 'one handed driving bucket'. Apparently, it's a lashed up device made from a cut down lemonade bottle, some string, a bread bag and other bits and bobs. It enables him to smoke as he's driving on the motorway and still keep one hand on the steering wheel. He works as a rep, drives a new shape Laguna and covers an area around London and as far north as Newark i think. Keep your eyes open for him on the roads - he says he gets funny looks from other motorists when they see him using it!
  8. You can't even hit them these days either. I find it best to burn the soles of their feet with a hot crack pipe.
  9. Interesting. Some compelling stuff.. and good production values (stuff always seems more beliveable to me when it's well presented with no spleling msitakes). Maybe it is true... maybe not. I honestly don't know. Sometimes in a war you have to lie to protect your interests and win ... nothing wrong or sinister about that. I still believe we landed on the moon though. And if you wrap your TV in foil and always walk out of the room backwards the TV detector van can't pick you up. :hyper:
  10. Get a good one and it should be ok. Get a bad one and it'll be like gutter you throw every last penny into. The n/a is alegedly more reliable but slower than your Toyota I think.
  11. I fitted Fiam electromagnetic horns (to a mtorbike) as they were advertised as being really loud. They weren't loud at all. Rubbish! I heard air horns were good. I was on a float (ie lorry) in a small town parade thing once. The driver hit the horn on small back streets and it made people LEAP back and kids cry - really. It was that loud. But I think that was the sort of air horn with 4ft trumpets etc.
  12. one guy came up to me at garage and asked if it was the twin turbo and I said "no". He said: "just as well, I had a twin turbo and it was loads of bother.... if I got another I'd get a n/a". :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
  13. I fitted clear side repeaters and they came with orange bulbe in them. i swopped the orange ones for silver-coated orange ones which look much better. I got them from a local car accesory shop (motormania or something) but I think Regal Autobulbs (01233860638) will do you a set for a better price.
  14. What sort of monkey is your monkey face Chris? (on your posts... I don't mean you look like a monkey!!!!)
  15. Sorry to hijack - Chris@GetGReddy... do you know where I can get a chip or something similar to improve performance / remove the 130mph limiter on my 99 n/a auto 300?
  16. Gotcha! Thanks. It was a bit unclear. ****ing scallies - wouldn't want anything to do with them. Oh and I've been told 'robber button' is a spoonerism of "rotten borough" used in Black Addrer series III. :hyper:
  17. true  When I tell anyone I got a Nissan 300Zx, they say: " Ohh, is that the twin turbo car", and I have to say "no, better still it's the non-turbo". And they always reply: "awwwww... shame". I'm just trying to prop up the resale value anyway.
  18. He had five mates with him or Jonny Grasshopper did? And who is Jonny Grashopper? Is this guy a saint or a villain? And what is a robber button?
  19. Virtually a standard 1999 car - the connosieur's choice, for sure. And that's without considering the 1999 car's rain repellent glass, Nissan factory mirror tinted windows, stiffer chassis for improved handling etc. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
  20. I live on a new estate where they used the wrong cables so no-one can get broad band until 2008. Loads of people are crying out for it but I dunno if you want loads of people getting involved.
  21. Sorry to hear that mate. Hope the sale goes ok.
  22. Any joy with this yet? Or has the bank stolen my money? I'm anxious to be a full member so I can 'boss' the place and muscle in on the snout racket.
