spoof govt site...v funny
As long as you wrap yourself in tin foil and always walk out of the room backwards, you should be safe. Or is that for avoiding the TYV licence detector van...?

prices of 300ZXs; what do you think of this guide?
They're on http://www.bonsaicars.com/priceGuide.htm 91 £4150 92 £5000 93 £6500 94 £7800 95 £8900 96 £10000 97 £11800 98 £13100 99 £16200 00 £18000 I guess that's for a dealer selling a twin turbo. Do you think they're accurate? If not, how much are they out by? What about the normally aspirated model?

Help needed with optimal speed for best mpg
Engines are most efficient at the point they produce peak torque (I think). And obviouly in top gear. But that doesn't take into account aerodynamis. Air resistance builds massively as you get faster (to the square or cube of the speed??????????) so much over 85 I guess it'll gulp down the juice. I got 320 miles from one tank on my 300 auto but I had just got it and it was wet and I drove sooooo carefully!

Failed my DA bike test, (but saw Paul C's old Zed I think)
For U turns on a bike, look up where you're going (bikes are like mowing the law, you have to look at the end of the lawn, if you loook down in front of the mower you go all wonky). Control the speed with the back brake. Use plenty of throttle and control the revs with the clutch. It sounds complex but it's easy and it works.

Hmmm Big Brother
When my Mrs votes, I say; "That's an extra 25p on your half of the phone bill, my little piranah fish". Seriously though, it does my head in when she watches it... all my mates are the same... does anyone know a bloke who watches it. Oh and I'd nail that posh south african bird who was on it and got thrown off about half way through (not that I watch it!)

ideas of what to do if i find these toe rags
Very sorry to hear about the cars. It must be gutting. I've lost bikes before to crims and it's not nice. I've heard about the brown recluse! I've seen pics of a bite and damn, they are NASTY!

Welcome Zhound
How cool was that clip?I watched it about four times. Love the ppfffff-tsshhhhh sound. My old S13 200SX would do about a 14.5 (I think) and that was shagged. A couple of weeks ago I did a 11.9 on a Yamaha 600 Fazer (that's a ride to work bike you can buy new for under £5K) and that was my first day at Santa Pod on a bike. And some of the guys in the office had a R33 that did under 8 secs I think. Apparently 1280bhp ish! The fastest bikes out there (hayabusa, GSX-R1000) do about 10.5 with a skillful and small rider on. 10.8 in a 300ZX is phenomenal. love it! (dunno what my N/A auto 300 would do!!)

Fitting speakers; which way to wires go?
I'm replacing my rear 6x4s as the old ones are knackered. (I got some new Blaupunkts from ebay for £22  ) When I put the new ones in, does it matter which way round the wires go on each speaker? Do they have a positive and negative or anything like that? cheers gents

Repainting Calipers
I thought about this. I've seen a few cars which look like the calipers were painted a few years ago and they've gone all peely and horrible. So I haven't plucked up the courage to do mine in case they look sh*t in a year's time.

Baby Shrimp next week
About six months ago my sister got a severe form of pre-eclyampsia called 'helpp syndrom' or something. It was in week 26 of pregnancy, which is borderline for the child's survival. Her and the baby were going to die so they did a caesarian straight away and they were both fine. It's a very simple proceedure these days and plenty of people choose it over normal birth. I'm sure it'll be fine. Everyone says 'it must be tough for the woman' which is true but it's tough for the guy too. Chin up, be there for her and it'll all be fine.

Goldie Looking Chain
Does anyone else listen to Goldie Looking Chain? You can get some of their songs free from their website http://www.youknowsit.co.uk 'GLC Leisurewear' is particularly good (well the first two mins are poor but then it's genius). It's about tracksuits and shellsuits. They're rappers from Newport. Very, verry funny. :hyper: :hyper:

What is your favourite brand of polish?
I use Zymol. It smells amazingly good. But it leaves a white powder, espeically on the chip proof paint at the bottom of the car.
