  1. Do people thinkn the extra oil cooler is worth fitting on a N/A Jap auto? Also, how come they're worth fitting at all ... Japan is no cooler than the UK ... in fact it's hotter
  2. I must admit I like the Switch / Maestro penguines. One pulls a funny face and leaps disarmingly towards the 'camera' right at the end of the ad. If you do that to someone sittng next you just before the penguine does it, it's very funny. Well, quite funny. Adn I used to like "Howard from the Halifax" when he flew round on a big swan. But I'm not keen on his latest CGI incarnation.
  3. Yesterday my mate saw Mike Reid (that bloke from East Enders that used to go 'awwww Pat'). He was driving a green G-reg Nissan 200SX S13with an aftermarket spoiler, in the nude. Or that's what he told me, anyway. :hyper: :hyper:
  4. I thought about fitting it to my N/A. What reliability (or other problems) can I expect using it very occasionally d'you reckon? Is the N/A engine / transmission the same as the TT and therefore able to take 280 odd crank bhp yet retain 'standard nissan' reliability?
  5. I have an N/A too. I think if you fit a TT engine, you have to upgrade loads more than the engine itself. I reckon NOS could be the way forward. Or leave it as it is!
  6. I might get them then. they're standard jap sizes; 225/50-16, V-rated That includes fitting too! Thanks for the advice.
  7. Are these tyres ok? I can get them for £57 fitted (each) while Pirellis etc seem to be about £100 each. Is it worth spending more? My main concerns are noise, longevity and grip in the wet. In the dry all tyres seem pretty good! My car is a N/A. Any recommendations and rough ideas what they'd cost?
  8. nice one; thanks Greg. I'll give it a go soon as I have a spare day. :hyper: :hyper:
  9. Right; I looked at some other threads about this. I think what I want to know is: 1) is it safe to use the standard jack and if so, how? 2) what should I ask them / tell them when I take it into a garge for tyres or whatever and they have to take the wheels off? :hyper:
  10. I heard it's bad to jack up my 300 under the seam at the bottom of the bodywork. Surely as it's the standard the method with the standard jack it can't do it any harm? Can anyone tell me (without too many technical words) how it's best to jack the car up? I could get a puncture anytime and I'll need my tyres changing soon and I don't want the tyre people to do it wrong either. Thanks
  11. My brake calipers went a bit white when I cleaned my wheels with wheel cleaner and got a bit on them. They'd probably go back to being ok with a wipe of WD40 but I thought about trying some of that coloured lacquer I've seen advertised. Has anyone tried it? Is it easy to use? Does it give good results? Or is in nasty and naff and best avoided?
  12. Mine has white dials and they go to 180.
  13. My mate sold a motorbike on ebay and got well more than what it was worth. people just get exicted and bid on it. No guarantee it'd happen again thought I guess
  14. I had one put on a motorbike recently.... very spectacular but kinda pointless!

The Z was in Kill Bill. And about half the car racing games on consoles! I done a lot of miles on the Busa too... like the Z, it's a handful in the wet (but unlike a Z it'll lift the front right up at 100 with a dab of clutch!)
  16. Once you get much over 200bhp it's how you drive them that counts in anything but a straight line. A new neighbout just moved in next to me. He has a CL500 Merc. I think they're about £120K. His house must have been £150K tops!
  17. They are lazy w******, Nissan UK. All the staff in my local Nissan dealership just don't give a toss and seem to just want the day to pass so they can go home.
  18. It sounds good; I'm gonna try and come along on Saturday and stay in a tent Sat night. Can I bring my 300 in or do I leave it in a car park? I'd love to show it off... it is a non-turbo, auto and standard but it's 1999 so kinda cool. Were do we camp? Is there a 300 club area? I don't wannt get lynched by those nasty Supra pansys. My plan is to stay in a tent, bring the g/f or a mate if she doesn't fancy it (probably big Dom Keefe, the hair piece thief so be careful), get pissed and have a good laugh.
  19. I can see loads of threads about it. None really say what it is, where it is or when (beyond Friday, Saturday or Sunday which is kinda useful but not specific enough). It sounds great as there's a big buzz about it .. but can anyone point me in the direction of some more info? (yes, I know I probably sound ignorant!)
  20. Surely thet's the one time you can get tanked up and drive? Besides, with these new laws you can have five or six pints of strong continental lager and still drive as long as you wear a seatbelt. If you get stopped, just tell the copper I said it was ok.
  21. Halford sold me 'special air' for my tyres once. £1 a wheel! But I'm sure this clay is propper stuff.
  22. I smoke but I wish I didn't. Stick with it mate, I admire your mental toughness. You can work on the weight next if it bothers you. Loads of fresh fruit and veg is the answer according to my old man who is king of nutrition (or something like that).
  23. I use mine everyday too and it's had no problems. It is also the n/a (more reliable, lighter, certainly the connnosieur's choice model). I was going to buy an Accord Type R. I hope the Z will be as reliable.
  24. Thanks people! I'm chuffed to bits. The Dam was great. Plenty of sex and drugs if that's what you want but plenty of cool other stuff too. I was going to buy a ring in Amsterdam but the range of rings was poor. There are many diamond merchants but not many good jewellers. Argos it is then...
  25. The Evo makes similar power I think. It's lighter but the four wheel drive system must sap a bit of the power. I could be wrong though!
