  1. I had something a bit like this. Ditching the (almost new 'Kumho') tyres sorted it. But it sounds like your tyres are ok (unless they're a really cheap brand...? )
  2. Here's a thought..... I know a guy who does a lot of studio photography for the BIG motoring mags. He's a nice guy and he takes top pics. If enough people were interested we could book him and his studio for a day (I think it's a few hundred quid all in) and get some seriously good pictures taken of our cars. It's amazing how much better pro-pics look compared to home made ones. I'm not sure how many we could get shot in a day.... about ten or maybe a couple more if we were super-organised. I haven't mentioned it to him but would anyone be up for it? I guess it's be about £30 each if we kept him busy all day. I'm certainly not trying to make any money... just a thought!
  3. A former colleague did bobybuilding tournaments and he freely admitted taking steroids. He was always carrying tupperware boxes of pasta around and had to keep eating all the time. I saw him loose his rag at a fast food restaurant for no reason - kinda scarey. He had shaved hair too.... he got strip searched twice going thru customs as he looked dodgy! Never known that happen to anyone else! Still, he could get the lids of jars better than me. And he said women at bodybuilding touraments queued up to sleep with contestants... dunno if that's true though!
  4. You gotta pick a nice one. Any looked after one will go well over 100,000 miles.
  5. I did a few with filler on my S13 200SX. I got quite good at them, including 'blowing' paint over to cover them. But they never looked perfect.
  6. I think the spectre of a huge repair bill causing total mechanical write-off is always there for most Z owners. It might well be fine and probably would be. But it might need a massive money repair. Fortunately this forum can provide you with most of the bits / knowhow and even help to fix pretty much anything. That's what they told me anyway ;-)
  7. I agree. I expect my 300 to depreciate away until I have to pay the scrappy to take it away. If it did become collectable and go up in value, I'd be delighted but amazed. The public are stupid.
  8. Fair enough... g/f's boss has a 1994 911 Targa II. I think it only makes about 250bhp which isn't amazing considering what it cost. She said 'it looked like a beetle and he drove it like a wuss'. I've gotta admit 'proper' Porches are nice though. I'd still rather have a Skyline R34 V-spec or one of them 2002 Supras with six gears etc. With an LED nitrous purge kit.
  9. My neighbour has a Boxster and he admits my 300 is better looking. The 300s faster too. My g/f got a lift from an ex of hers in his Boxter and she said it wasn't as nice as the Nissan and "a bit hairdressery". I've got nothing against Toyotas either. My sister has a diesel one.
  10. I waaaaaaaaay prefer my 300's interior to my old S13's.
  11. An ex-g/f had a coil But when she used her vibrator it must have magnetised it I went down on her ..... it sucked one of my fillings out!
  12. Excellent There's always the terror they'll charge you £1000s or condemn the car (I think they can still do that!)
  13. I bet they come pre-run in.
  14. I saw this mad old guy on 'Central Weekend Live' once. He kept shouting "The herb, the herb, it it is for healing, it is for all, it is in the bible". It's good for a bad back and stress too apparently.
  15. I like the lad in it. 'Spaced' TV series was brilliant and he wrote that as well as starred in it.
  16. Black Circles did me 4 X 225/50 16s for £300 fitted - which seemed like a good deal. I since joined 300ZX.co.uk and checked what price they'd be now I have my discount - it was still the same! I'd still use them again though ... they responded to my e-mails saying "if you damage my sills, I'll expect you to pay" etc etc
  17. It's definitley three years on a motorbike. I've spoken to the spokespeople of various big insurers when doing an article on this. It might be diferent for cars I guess though.
  18. Insurance companies can send proof of no claims out to regular people - I have one here in my desk. Also, I think no-claims lasts three years even if you're uninsured, so if you can get the doccumentation from whoever covered you before the US Military it should be still valid.
  19. What if the rabbit had a squeezy lemon bottle of amonia, the bouncer had a bad back and the chicken was in the SAS?
  20. I enjoy my job as a motoring journalist. It's not perfect but it has it's moments. I'd rather be Craig David, soul sensation.

I found it's as almost quick to get music from http://www.winmx.com as to upload them from CDs.
  22. I think he's a fruit! He did have a highly publicised affair.....with ?? Alicia Douvall ????? ....... that must have been a PR stunt. He's a wooley wooftah! He got the quickest lap on Top Gear though. And I like it when he crushes people on stage on that singing show. They think they're good and he tells them, in no uncertain terms, they're, rubbish. And they run off crying. Top TV.
  23. Yeah, that is a bit steep I guess. It might be worth it if it was a 1999 car but it seems a lot for a '98.
  24. I quite fancied a 'PA' but don't fancy the pain of having it done or having to put my schlong in the hands of some enormous, hairy bloke.
