  1. I did 550 miles in the Z this weekend going to a mate's 30th birthday piss up in Wales. Filled up once at at 347 miles, put in 55 litres which is about 28.5mpg. I was pretty impressed. That was about two thirds motorway and the rest in towns / back lanes. My 200SX S13 would have only done about 30mpg on that trip.
  2. You could try http://www.visordown.com Quite a few biker folk on there sell bits etc Or one of the premium-rate breaker search lines like Partfinder (09060 330330). They fax loads of breakers and any with the right bits get back to you. If you just want a can for MoT time a scuffed one would be ok and that should be cheap. I mint standard can would be expensive.
  3. Had an S13 for six years and loved it. Rust finished it in the end but otherwise it was great.
  4. foxy chicks at 1 minute
  5. I'm the daddy now. So if anyone wants batteries, phonecards or porn, then come to me. Alright?

Sorry to heat that... hope she's ok :(
  7. The local VW franchise garage told her VW discs last between one and five years.
  8. My Mrs took her Polo (1999, 1.0L) in for sevrive MoT. (This should be the Mrs Craig David help forum!). They want to replace both front discs as they're pitted. They replaced them two years ago and she's done less than 10,000 miles since then. This seems far to short a life for a brake disc.... any idea how long they should last? She's a slow driver but the car is parked outside. Any idea what causes pitting? Thanks chaps!
  9.  Very true! But a serious point.... we went on holiday a couple of months ago and took Lariam (Mefloquine) anti-malarial tablets and they messed her head right up. Six weeks later she's just about ok but she's been pretty much clincally depressed / anxious and that's a known side effect. I would say NEVER take Lariam. It's banned in lots of coutries.
  10.   So he does!
  11. Thanks guys. The car's running fine. I think the problem was in her head.
  12. I bought an auto and therefore believe autos are better ;-) In all honesty, for sporty driving, I'd say a manual is probably better having driven both. But the auto is better for cruising / pimping. It's annecdotal but I hear of more reliability problems with auto boxes than manuals too I think. But I still think my autos great and wouldn't change it for a manual.
  13. The Mrs had a tiny prang while parking my car. It didn't even mark it but when she drove home afterwards, it stalled. Does anyone know if there's one of those switches that cuts the fuel in an accident? I wonder if it might have cut the fuel pump and as she was driving so slowly, enough trickled through to get her home so it just stalled once. If so, do you know how to reset it? ...... it's probably fine (touch wood!) but I have to go to Wales soon and I don't want it cutting out all the way there. Cheers!
  14. He was also an Oxford graduat despite being from a working class background, a pacifist, massively inteligent and a very honourable bloke. He hated violent and corrupt governments.
  15. Anyone read Howard Marks' autobiography, "Mr Nice"? I trust him and his opinion of the American government was pretty low.
  16. Cool. Me too! (I've had my lunch and calmed down now anyway!)
  17. Chris That is my opinion formed from my own observations. I've lived and worked overseas too. But I respect your opinion too.
  18. Oh no! We need to distance ourselves from the Yanks and hook up with the Euros.
  19. This is making sense...... it's not really a Skyline, it's a 350Z / Infiniti coupe type thing then. Hopefully the R35 will be a bit more exciting and a bit less Audi TT.
  20. Any idea what they sell for, those new Skylines? Are they about £50K new like the old R34 GTR?
  21. I though you meant award winning Brit rockers Radiohead needed assistance with an industrial premesis. Sorry, I can't help with this.
  22. I can try. I'll have to get on of the lads here to scan it. What size / format should it be?
  23. In my office "Carole Nash" is rhyming slang for 'slash'. She's the biggest motorbike insurer in the UK and started her company with a redundancey check. More to the point: I'd say my auto 300 NA is definatly slower to 60 than my pre-cat 200SX so maybe 7.5 seconds? It's faster above that speed than my 200 I think as it's more powerful and weight is less important at higher speeds.
  24. Best to answer the door naked holding a meat cleaver on Halow'een and say "Ohhhh I have a treat for you".
  25. Theres a pic and brief spec on a new model Supra in Car magazine. unfortunately it looks like a 350Z competitor, not a real 'knob out' nutter like the MK 4 Supra and the 300ZX. :( It looks a bit like the new Celica. 330bhp and 1200kg sound good though! There's a pic of the new Skyline but I guess you've all seen that... maybe you've all seen the Supra too. I'm kinda disapointed these new cars are coupe / Audi TT competitors not true sucessors to the 300zx and MK 4 Soop.
