I think you hit the nail on the head there! I'd never swop my Z for an Elisa as (in my opinion) they look small and girly. It's never good for a large man in his 30s to drive fast in a small car. A mate had an Elise and it was like sitting in a little wooden box with a hairdryer next to your ear. But I'm sure they're loads of fun to drive though but rubbish on long journeys. I'd get an Integra Type R over an Elise - just my opinion though! The Elise does hold it's value well. Hmmm... just read this back... think I come under the 'used car as penis extension' category.

I would say Max Power would probably be a bad idea. Theur readers are VERY young, and don't have much money at all. Most don't have a girlfriend either. The context (having a nice car and a girlfriend) is something they aspire to but most are teenagers. I do wonder if that Sunday Times Chistmas Special could be really good... although maybe it's too late for that and it depends how much space they offer you for that price (bear in mind they may haggle lots as their deadline looms).

Hmmmm... not sure I think BIKE is a bad idea as it's ad rates will probably be similar to bigger selling lifestyle titles and it has a smaller and more tightly focused readership. CAR could be a goer - that's quite top endy and has fancy watch ads etc and sells more than BIKE to a less focused but wealthier (probably) readership. Arena is the poshest / most style concious men's lifestyle mag. It's on the way up at the moment after a terrible lull. Its ultra stylish and the ad rates are very high consiering it's modest circulation.

A friend and colleague was killed this morning in a road accident. The whole day has just been surreal. I've seen several grown men cry and the women... they really let go. I've blinked back a few tears myself too, more than once. I'm not looking for sympathy but if anything good can come out of it, everyone should remember to be careful, especially on slippery roads. I love bikes and cars but it's been pretty sobering. I'll keep riding bikes and enjoying my Z but things will never be the same again. We lost a really top guy. :(

Welcome mate! :duffer: I have a NA too. In a recent thread quite a few people who'd owned both NAs and TTs preferred the NA! Just as well as the general feeling is that converting is more hassle than it's worth.

FHM has about the youngerst readers of the 'lads' lifestyle mags many of who may be a bit young for that sort of thing? - but a masive circulation so it reaches loads of folk. How about GQ or even 'aspirational' motoring titles like CAR and BIKE? Or even the local papers? they're much cheaper and you might be able to get deals that run over several. Big local papers like the Nottingham Evening Post and Leicester Mercury sell about 100,000 a day. FHM is probably more like 500,000 though!
