  1. At my the year before last work Christmas do my boss got properly pissed. I had to go and drag him out of the toilets and stick him in a cab. When I opened the toilet door he was sitting on the pan moaning with his pants round his ankles full of his own vomit! He'd hurled all over himself and had to pretty much climb into the sink to clean himself up before he left (this was in the Grovesnor House Hotel, Park Lane). Have to say I kind of resepct him for that.
  2. We're a robber button ... sorry, a rotten borough! Seriously Shunter, nice one! (ps Mrs Craig David likes your Spidey!)
  3. Why change the lights for those 'orrible ones? They're one of the coolest and most distinctive things on the 300.
  4. Sounds good ... I'll be escaping reality as many ways as possible later too!
  5. i just wanted to try that different smile thing... with limited success. You should all have whatever dogs you want.
  6. The majority of dog attacks are on children under one who don't know they shouldn't prod a dog. (I think) file:///Users/notadmin/Desktop/soapbox.gif

I've got a load of bottles of that "Wash and Go". The labels are all in Arabic but it's good gear. Three bottles for a pound!

So THAT's what a plenum is! I've been wondering for about a year now.
  9. You could well be right. I don't know much about cars. I thought once it was running, the fuel pressure would be fine and it'd start straight up when I turned it off and on again LIKE i TRIED EARLIER. oops caps It does sound quite likely though. My car is 1999 :D NA  auto  if that makes any difference.
  10. It's fine to have five or six pints and drive as long as you wear a seatbelt. If the police question that, just tell them Craig David from the internet said it was ok.
  11. Hmm ... no joy so far. I tried starting it (normally) and it didn't fire, just dugga-dugga. I stopped and got the fuel pump to prime 6 times (sounded like it was at the back of the car) by turning key on (wait) off. Tried to start it and it still wouldn't... just dugga-dugga-dugga After about 30 secs of dugga-dugga and half throttle it spluttered into life, then ran fine for a minute. I turned it off, tried to start it again and it just did the dugga-dugga thing again. I would guess it's not the fuel return valve then...? I haven't tried an ECU check yet (or ever!) butll as soon as I can do it the light. Any more ideas...? Thanks guys!
  12. We get that long? Cool! I can leave it another 10 years before easing off then.
  13. I ticked the 45-60 box but I'm probably the 60-75 if I'm honest. I registered at a new doctor surgery when i moved house recently. I had to answer lots of questions a nurse asked. She asked how many units of alcohol a week and I said "60" She said; "16, that's not too bad" I said: "no, 60" She went balistic at me and said I should go to AA meetings and all sorts. I've solved the problem by simply never going back there again. I am aware that I drink (and smoke, (and smoke!)) too much. And I should cut down or face nasty consequences. We'll see...
  14. 28 units (21 for women). It used to be 21 and 14 respectively and some say that was a more sensible level and corruption was involved in raising the recommended intake.
  15. Look at depreciation plus repairs and if it's less than £1000 - £1500 a year and I think we're getting excellent value. I still think nothing offers as much performance / presence / enjoyment for less.
  16. Re-wind on Channel 4 now ! It's proper bo I tell thee.
  17. Like it. Especially the fire.
  18.   That'd make Posh Spice a virgin! Maybe The Lord will strike them down! :p
  19. A pint of regular beer is 2 units. Pint of Stella (or similar) is more like 2.5 units (or a bit more). Large glass of wine is 2. Double spirit is 2. Basically 1 unit is 1 litre of 1% alcohol (or 100ml of 10% alcohol). So .. be honest ... how much booze do you drink a week?
  20.  The Pogues featuring Kirsty Macoll says 'Christmas' to me .... but I quite like it. What I don't like is that "Holidays are coming, Holidays are coming, Holidays are coming, Holidays are coming, always Coca Cola" TV ad with the convoy of red lorrys and the polar bears and laughing Santas. They may as well lean out of the TV, bend you over and 5crew you up the arse.
  21. Mike and Andy - thanks gents! I'll try those.     Damo: don't apologise. It's all about sharing information. But Your problem sounds different to mine. Mine won't start at all at first. It just goes dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga-dugga on the starter for 15 secs, then it fires up and is fine for that drive and the rest of the day. But TBH, I don't know a lot about these thing so I could be wrong.
  22. http://www.weather.com is the most accurate weather site I look at (and I look at lots regularly including met office, yahoo, BBC and others - sad eh?) Anyway, no frost when I left the house but it wasn't till 8.55 this morning.
  23. 350Z at position 91...
  24. It's only positions 100-81 tonight. Booooooo! I'm sure they're saving the Z for the top ten. (yeah, right!)
  25. That's the true speed, yes. It should read that. (but don't trust me .... I put the wrong number in the calculation before! ) 19.14/22=0.87 therefore the true speed is 13% less than the speedo reading or 22/19.14=1.15 therefore the reading is 15% over the true speed It depends if you express the difference as a percentage of the true speed or a percentage of the (inacurate) speedo reading. I guess either could get a correct answer but am not sure which is 'really correct'. Hope that's not just confusing! Mike? Mike? Pete Shrimp?
