Crikey Mr T. I didn't mean any offence to you or disrespect to your (former) car. I did say: "I'm not knocking the car - I'm sure it's really nice but wonder why it's so well regarded???" in my previous post. It was a genuine enquiry as everyone on here seemed to hold the car in massively high regard and the only information I had was from the ebay ad. Sorry for any offence caused - none was intended.

It was £795 last year, got it down to £640 this year so I'm quite pleased. Houghton's wouldn't quote me unfortunately as they seem to be the choice of the Z owner so I'm with Bell Direct (who?) again. I guess it's not cheap but nothing good is (except Great White Cider, inexpensive hookers, Jerry Springer and bongs).

It does look nice. But I can't see why it's worth £9-£12K when ever other Z is worth much less. Ok it has a gorgeous interior and wheels, chip, exhaust,and a nice front bumper but plenty of other Zs have lots of mods and don't fetch anything like that money. I'm not knocking the car - I'm sure it's really nice but wonder why it's so well regarded???

The targa roof is nice round town but rubbish and noisy above 60mph. I guess with the choice of having it or not, I'd go for targa. But the speed merchants would probably disagree!

I'd say the little bike could have done 1a 6.8 There are loads of little bikes of all sorts and not all are Minimotos. Even if it was one, I guess it's possible. I think Japanese people have spent £10,000-£20,000 tuning them before.

Welcome back mate. I'd say finding a really nice, clean, honest car is more important than what sort of roof it has - but I guess some folk would disagree.

My 300 had new Nankang tyres on the the front when I got it. They made it shake terribly at high speed even when I had them re-ballanced. A 300 specialist told me they were rubbish and to get rid of them. He also showed me the side walls were too high despite being labeled the correct size. I replacewd them with Falken (from black cricles.com) and the shaking stopped straight away. I'd never recommend Nankang and would always try and get something a little better.

I set mine of by mistake when I was living in a flat above an old lady - it was LOUD and gave off a huge cloud of smoke which set the whoile building's fire alarms off!!
