    Good point! :hyper:
  2. Are you a policeman then? It sounds like it! I don't have a problem with the police - just wondered!
  3. What was it like then Hexaking? Brilliant? Blown up already?
  4. Neil Don't let these forum Nazi with their so-called "rules" silence you. I found your regular and abstract posts very funny. Keep it up mate!
  5. Red's common as mook Purple's posh as fook
  6. I guess it's all about will power ... how much do you want to give up? But I bet it's a sod giving up. As Roy says, there are some attractive alternatives. ;) I was chatting to a very clever guy last week who just wrote an article for the Independent saying the risk of smoking is massively exagerated. It mainly kills through heart disease (not lung cancer) and a certain proportion of heart disease deaths are attributed to smoking, whenther the people smoked or not! That said, I wish I could give up but i can't because I'm mentally weak. Good luck mate and stick with it. My old college tutor used to say to me "Don't be a wimp" and that used to spur me on when things were difficult.
  7. A motorbike mag called 'RiDE'.
  8. Crag David, soul sensation! Seriously though I write for a magazine which is not as good as it might sound (but still alright).

It's 265bhp I think for that 2.7 S4. He might give you a shoeing on a twisty road, especially if it's wet.
  10. I just payed £640 for a year's fully comp on my NA. I have a clean licence and full NCB. But have a 'dangerous job' apparently which affects it and the car's quite new and it doesn't fit in my garage.
  11. Cool! They're great on bikes. My mate had them on his XR650 supermoto and (I think) his WR450 which he just swapped for a Husaberg (which needs an oil change every 100 miles!!!!)

    Near Tesco. What about you?

Mine has no spoiler so it wasn't me - sounds like there's tons of Zs in "The Boro"!
  15. Is it a spectator event? I'd be tempted but don't want to turn up and look like a muppet. And I'm on the beers tonight so won't do anything before noon tomorrow.
  16. Have used wavy discs on bikes - they do give more bite but go through pads VERY fast.
  17. What about the victims that no-one hears about? My lonely Planet books on Sri lanka and Thailand are now practically useless and no-one's given that a thought. I'm the best part of £40 down!! Seriously though, yes, I have given moneyto help those who suffered in the disaster - I think most people on here already have.
  18. You'd have have to have been pretty brave to dive into the wave I saw on TV. And I think where it was really bad we haven't seen pictures cos none survived. Once it got much past the beach it seemed to turn into an incredibly agressive surge rather than a wave and was filled with dangerous debris. It was terrible beyond comprehension, like you say.
  19. I think the water a tsunami dumps on the land is the bit that was next to it just before not a bit from way out at sea. The water from hundreds/thousands of miles away doesn't come to the land, it just pushes the bit next to it, which pushes the bit next to it etc and the last bit gets pushed onto the land. So animals from hundreds of miles away in deep trenches would not end up on the beach??? I could well be wrong and in this case A LOT of water came onto the land. They're interesting pictures but I'm not convinced they washed up on the beach in Thailand.

There is no 'East' group at all. So it might be good to have it quite far east. That said, there's not that many people out east and I wouldn't want it to be too far for those in west of the region.
  21. Welcome mate. I bet that first drive will be SWEET! :hyper: I've not heard of replacing the prop as a common modification. Is it something that's worth doing to all Zs? In fact, to be honest, I don't know a lot about cars or exactly what the prop is.... is it a drive shaft?
  22. Wow, they're pretty mad, those deep sea fish. Like Ivan says, I bet there's species down there we'll never even know exist. There might even be one that looks like a 300ZX.
  23.  1999  Standard  NA  Auto  2+2 targa (dunno if they're good or bad really!) I probably paid more than most and ended up with the slowest car on the forum! :smash:
  24. I have a 1999 300ZX  But it's not a Type R... it's an NA.
