  2. Also, I was at a wedding recently where half the family were from Hong Kong. There was loads of inscrutible old woman and men in sort of purple dressing gowns. I thought if it all kicked off they'd have been flying everywhere and doing all that Jackie Chan stuff and it'd have looked like something out of "Crouching Tiger". But it didn't.
  3. Just get lashed up and say: "Who the **** are you?" to anyone you don't recognise. It worked for me. Well, to be honest I didn't say that. I just kissed 4rse and said: "Oh hello aunty-so-and-so, you look great, thank you so much for coming, your Trevor looks very well too. Yes the weather is holding out well and the venue's really working out. And oh yes, the staff ARE really nice." etc etc etc But I was thinking: "Who the **** are you?". And: "It'll probably **** it down in a minute". Anything for an easy life.
  4. I did a whole car with T-Cut a few years ago (my old Metro lol). It made a massive, massive improvement. Before the paint was faded and had lots of marks. After it was much brighter - back to the original colour and most of the marks had disappeared or were less noticable. I'd do it again if I had a car that looked a bit faded.
  5. Hey hey hey, I do the jokes round here!
  6. The Japanese Auto Extravaganza (JAE) 21-23 July. We've supposedly got 100 memebers and 300ZXs from this site alone going.
  7. Welcome aboard Sarah. I think you need to private messge your address to your regional rep to get a membership pack. It's worth getting it soon if you want to go to the biggest show of the year (JAE).
  8. Try sxoc.com (if you haven't already)
  9. Cars get cheaper every year. There's no getting away from it. I see the same thing as this on other boards - Supras, DC5s etc - people outraged their cars aren't worth what they were a while ago. You can't expect to buy a car, drive it for a bit and sell it for what you paid for it. It's extremely unlikely the price will go up - maybe in 10 years for a handful of minters. Maybe.
  10. Ouch - not good mate. Why someone would do that do a nice car is beyond me. Get those pics of her up here! ;)
  11. Cpoyright's not an issue at all. They can send them out if they can be bothered.
  12. Thanks for the advice so far. What about changing the springs? If I can get away without changing them I will. Surely they don't wear like the damper units can do?
  13. Have a great day :duffer:
  14. Did you ever get copies of the photos? Plenty of mags wouldn't bother to send them but I hope JTuner are a bit better.
  15. Due to mileage / age I think I might get my shock absorbers replaced. The car feels slightly more vague in high speed corners than it used to plus with almost 60,000 miles on the clock the shocks could probably do with replacing. Any thoughts as to what to replacen them with? I was thinking genuine Nissan ones (I'm a big fan of OE and they're cheap from Z Centre!). Any other recommendations? What about the springs - should I replace them too? And finally roughly how long should it take a decent mechanic to change them? (By this I mean what will they charge me!). Cheers ps - car is 1999 Japanese NA auto LWB.
  16. Easy on the gas and an egg white in the radiator should get your there?

    Have a great day :duffer:
  18. The single turbo is the Z31 which runs up to about 88-89. From 89 onwards it's the Z32 which is a very different car (the one we all have) and is twin torbo or no turbos (NA ).
  19. F PMSL! Excellent!
  20. F Pmsl !

This is going to be great! I'm looking forward to it already. Nice one Rich
  22. The six month rule: Buy a used car from a dealer and if it goes wrong during your first six months of ownership they have to repair the fault or prove it wasn’t there when they sold the car. It’s a comparatively recent law (the Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumer Regulations 2002). Not all traders are aware of it so you may have an awkward time explaining it to them - but it's worth doing.
  23. He should be laughing - all the way to Maccy Ds and his 'trainee' badge. That said I was never one for all that book learning and exams and I did OK (well, ok-ish, well, not terribly badly).
  24. We'ver heard bad things about an import place in Birmingham - I can't remember if it was that one or not. There's plenty of duff ones out there so you have to be prepared to keep looking for a while. Generally cars from long standing members on here should be ok. Come to JAE - you'll get to look at loads of 300s and get a feeling for what's what.
  25. Sorry to hear the Evo's got problems. Older performance cars often carry a few injuries - hoe you can fix this fairly easily.
