ouch - this looks pretty painful..
Ouch - doesn't look fun. The bike looks a bit like an RVF400 (NC35) which wouldn't do anything like 155mph though. Edit - actually it's more like the RVF750 which would do that sort of speed!

Would You Install An Oil Cooler On A Auto Box... Or Not?
It's hard to say what causes it though. I have a lot of faith in Nissan getting it right in the first place. If I tuned my car, I'd get one but as standard I think its ok. The 'you must fit one' is more based on heresay than fact as far as I can tell.

does "hold" save petrol? anyone driven....
It's for the snow / slippery conditions. Never uses first and keeps the revs low.... IIRC

I don't think you'd make much / any saving compared to just being very gentle with the throttle pedal.

bigger than a v8
Isn't a V8 better than a V10 - perfect primary and secondary ballance or something? (I'm using words here I don't understand - heard other people use them!)

Anybody fancy an argument lol
If I hear more words from yous, I'll fetch one of these here black pods on you...

NZR - 125s
Two strokes tend to make better 125s than four strokes as they're lighter and more powerful. The DT's a good bike although most only make 12-15bhp as they're restricted. You can de-restrict them by moving the power valve (which makes them peaky) or getting a servo motor that moves it at certain revs (hard to get hold of - ebay might help). It's a two stroke but it should do 60mpg odd around town plus consumables are virtaully free. You'll need a lock as thieveing kids love them. RD125s are all antiques now I'm afraid. Aprilia's are mainly very (VERY) expensive to run (I'm just selling my Aprilia 1000 - it's my second Aprilia as I has a 125 years ago and I'd never have another). (I've had about 30 bikes not including 'long term test bikes' from the manufacturers!) Honda NSRs are expensive / getting old now. The NRS125R was a fine piece of kit in its day. Like I said, it all comes down to money / what journeys you'll be doing. The CBT's very easy - get it done! Then get your full licence.

How many people have had an NA and had the auto box go?

NZR - 125s
Yamaha's DT125R is a good bet - not too pricey, looks quite nice, tough little engine. If you're not bothered about looks at all go for Honda's CG125. It'll run forever and do nearly 100mpg. To be honest scooters are quite good for commuting - Peugeot's speedfight is nice. I guess much depends on how much you want to spend and how far/what roads your commute is on. nb - all the motorbike shops in Cambridge are shysters. Cambidge Motorcycles on Cheddars Lane are ok for servicing etc but I don't think I'd buy a bike from them. Graham Jenkins used to be OK-ish. Allins (PH Allin in my day!) are thick, greedy piss takers. With a second hand 125 I'd buy privately if possible then you can check out the owner - some are utterly cluless and buying a bike from them is not wise obviously.

Would You Install An Oil Cooler On A Auto Box... Or Not?
I have a NA auto. I've had it getting on for three years. I'm the first UK owner. I haven't fitted an extra oil cooler. The car's been fine. Maybe the TTs need them more than NAs? In the 300ZX Enthusuast's Companion book it says the extra oil cooler was fitted to european spec cars allow for sustained high speed driving and I think it means autobahns. I'm a big fan of not fixing things that ain't broke. If you get someone to mucka bout in there it may cause more problems than it solves. Then again maybe my autobox will explode tomorrow. Who knows? I think 'you have to fit one' is an easy-to-repeat piece of information people will tell you even if they have no first hand experience themselves. In short - cost of getting a decent oil cooler and getting a decent mechanic to fit it would be £200 odd I'd guess. If your autobox goes pop you can probably get a manual conversion for about £1000 all in if you do a little legwork yourself. Maybe the problem is that many autoboxes are about 15 years old now and would have gone pop anyway?

Ermmmmm..........
I was gonna guess 'testicle' but it's a bit late now. Is the Navman any good then Dave? I guess you'll have to do a few long journeys to test it for sure.

My ABS Warning Light Won't Go Off
Sounds simple but have you checked the brake fluid is topped up? I'm no expert either but one of the clever boys will probably be along soon.

Well the original plan was I took over this place with your help. Like Scar and the hyenas in Lion King. Now it seems you've got the power and I'm your deputy/snitch. Well, it's not exactly what I'd planned but it's power of a sort so, ok, lets give it a go.

if you were to sell your zed
I think about this a lot. And I always come back to the Integra Type-R DC5 Yes it's FWD but I think it'd be a match for pretty much anything on a twisty road. Plus very reliable / low maintenance and you can get 35 or even 40mpg on a motorway run. Also it's unusual. I also consider 200SX S15 350Z (though put off if Paul C says they're not good) NSX (late - 2002 onwards) MK IV Supra Skyline (R33 or 34 GTR) Better keep doing the scratch cards if I fancy one of these! Got no plans to change my Zed at the moment though.I've had it for two-and-a-half years and still love it. Edit - would quite fancy an F-off diesel like the new 535D or the 4.0V8 Audi. Dunno if you can run them on cooking oil though ;)

Remember you and me are going to take this place over. I guess this is just a way to help bring the establishment down from within? Good. Mum's the word! ;)

I might as well say goodbuy now !!
It won't be law for a year or so yet and may yet be stopped / changed. I have to say I think this law would be a bad thing - it would criminalise honest, decent people. Lots of people enjoy a bit more in the bedroom than 'missionary position, lights off' and that doesn't make them dangerous. I don't think there's any proven link between this sort of porn and sexual violence. It's a knee jerk reaction by that woman whos daughter was killed in admittedly tragic circumstances.
