A few of us Ultima owners are meeting here tomorrow morning if any Z’s wanted to pop along too. It’s a nice little venue and always a few interesting things turn up.

Gutted i couldn't get there this year, it was just not worth risking my back by sitting in the car that long so soon after doing it. Am hoping i can recover enough for an event at Weedon Bec this weekend, if anyone wants to meet there? @TheRealNips you absolutely deserve that trophy Tom. The events organiser role is probably the most up and down rollercoaster ride role that any club can have. Events people do not turn up to, events that you don't get told about until the last minute, events that have minimum club attendance figures that you feel embarrassed you can't guarantee. But through it all, the sign you are doing a good job is that you keep finding events, making people aware, posting them up, and just keep on doing your best. Have a clash with grandchild weekend duty as their mum is on a birthday weekend away. am negotiating for sunday 😄 edit: i ended up injuring myself laying some flooring, so am not able to drive over unfortunately 😞

@TheRealNips are you filling in a club form for all cars or do we apply as individual and then just group up for the stand?

I remember there was a shot of the front wheel on a silver zed pulling up at night, which i think was Doriens car at the time in Birds of a Feather, but have absolutely no idea which season or episode it was.

If you don't mind an interloper parked at the other end of club space, then i would like to join you. I think i had a clash last year.

Weather currently looking good for next week. what time are you planning to arrive to try and nab the front parking spots like before?

All round success on all aspects of the trip then Richard. Good news and good travels.

Couple of suggestions just based on my own experience, not much of a mechanic 😉 Mine sounded like a misfire or rather an intermitttent stumble on idle or low revs. Turned out to be a broken/leaking injector or collar. Early ones are permanent live, so a crack could cause a short. Have you tested/reconnected the o2 sensors in the exhaust? Although that may show up in ecu? also, 10 years stored, worth swapping the cam belt to avoid age related failure

Oh no Richhard, what a shame. Glad it only looks minor, but save any assessment until the bumper comes off. Hope you manage to get it all resolved back to how it was and no insurance shenanigans. So many people just never accept their own mistakes, always try to shift blame.

I should be there, non zed again though hopefully whoever chucked a drink or similar over my windscreen last time which left a sticky mess has grown up a bit or wont be there. prefer to assume it was some random ford fan rather than someone from our group though
