Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery : NEC November 2018
We nearly had "M" last year  Once we get access to the site pack in August, will check out the power, and let you get access to the H&S stuff they need us to do.

Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery : NEC November 2018
The pictures are exact scale, so some of the gaps might be really tight on the day, and also, will need space for any lighting gear, banners etc that might be used on the stand, so it just might not be practical, but have plenty if time to finalise that :thumbup1:

Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery : NEC November 2018
Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery : Friday 9 - Sunday 11 November 2018 : NEC Great news! We have been allocated a 13m x 6m stand for NEC Classic Car Show 2018 and have highlighted where we are in Hall 5 in the pic. Have also attached the PDF so that you can read the other stand details better ;-) In theory, the stand is big enough for 5 cars, but that would leave little room for people. Some stand mock up some suggestions are also attached based on 5, 4 or 3 cars to go on the stand, so that we can discuss the merits of each, and eventually vote on how many cars we think should be displayed. The theme for the show this year is "Built to Last", so please also make suggestions on how we might theme our stand to reflect the show theme. Display Volunteers Subscribed Members only, please volunteer on this thread if you want the chance to display at the show. In addition, it would be ideal if all volunteers can attend the AGM Annual Meet in Coventry to enable members to see the cars in person before voting opens. Although attendance at Coventry is not a requirement to volunteer onto the shortlist. A voting thread will be posted after the AGM. To volunteer, you must be able to deliver your car to the NEC on morning of Thursday 8th of November and take away again on Sunday evening. Ideally we would like you to stay for the full duration of the show and help man the stand, etc, but that is up to you. Will update details of expected hotel costs etc later, as although advanced provisional bookings were made after the show last year, will need to check for any better deals. L drivers on motorways !!
I am pretty sure that any driving instructor taking a learner driver onto a motorway will only take someone that is competent and ready, and will not be taking a complete novice into that situation, even though it has to be a dual control vehicle. As others have mentioned, there is not a lot of difference to driving on dual carriageways, which is already part of the syllabus. Seems like a complete over reaction from you there Jeff, or are you learning to write click-bait headlines? :)

Lakes Weekend @ Fat Lamb Inn - May 26th to 28th 2018
ok, i have the pics from Paul. Unfortunately his camera battery developed a fault, so there are not as many as planned. Also, as you will see, somebody parked right in the wrong place for one set of shots. There are 50 pictures, which i have stuck into a 200Mb zip file and currently uploading to a google drive. (Should be done by 5pm 4/6/18). https://drive.google.com/open?id=18vlG3hOw13WPQsX57APe3VRU68HD4M9x We have almost a free reign to book dates for next year at the moment, as these are the dates NOT available: 7/8/9 May, 17/18 May, 12/13 June, 21/22 June, 27/30 Sept. Would also avoid early June, as it clashes with the Appleby Horse Fair, which we briefly encountered. Next year, based on discussions we had, we could be looking at a Friday - Monday event, giving us 2 clear days to drive some routes and/or visit particular destinations. Let's start from discussion on appropriate dates, and i will start a poll once we have some options.

if you quote the post, you can add yourself to the list and remove the quote comments. Noone is ignoring you, certainly not intentionally, just depends if your post is picked up when someone else does the thread quote.

Lakes Weekend @ Fat Lamb Inn - May 26th to 28th 2018
hi Tony, apologies, but we didn’t use your route this time. Based on advice from the Fat Lamb owner about volume of traffic on bank holiday half term, we went on a ring North passing Teesdales, Hexham, Alston, then some of us came back via Kirkstone Pass. Ambleside and Windermere were definitely busy even late on when we came through about 6! Next year, we plan to book a different weekend and definitely give your route a go, hopefully with you included! :thumbup1: Thanks, Craig

Silverstone Classic 20th-22nd July
looks like from £45 to £120 depending on number of days and which ones. not a keen camper, so could end up expensive.

Silverstone Classic 20th-22nd July
Anyone interested in going to this? Just got a reminder that club applications have to be in by end of July, so if we want to attend, then need some feedback. It will be really good to attend this NEXT year, for the 30th Anniversary, along with ZClub and others (350/370?), but might be a good idea to show our faces this year if possible? https://www.silverstoneclassic.com/ If any interest, i will register so we can get a club stand code for you to book tickets on.

My daughter calls it Toothless the Dragon: My ‘95 TT Z
not good after all your hard work, and i know that sinking feeling when you hear an unexpected rattle, having just experienced similar. at least you have hopefully caught a problem early to prevent further damage or catastrophe.

Vibration through steering wheel under braking.
I found this and a couple of others a few months ago when i was having very similar problems to Joel. In the end, i changed disks and pads. On my old disks, you could see what looked like a difference in the material of the disk. With so many components being built on price, it got me wondering whether the suppliers are using or diluting with bad quality material, which doesn't really mix very well in the smelting process. So even without the cementite process occurring from actual usage, there could be parts of the material that actually heat and cool at different rates because they have a slightly different make up.

Well, quite an advert for the reliability of our cars  Seems that the world has conspired against us in some way.
