steering/brakes
If the steering shakes then the most likely will be disc problem. I know I suggested bearings but on reflection you would feel problem there in more than just braking. If we were all sensible rational people: a: We would be boring. b: We would all drive Fords. Hell, you do not need to drive the Zed to change yr mind; just look at her standing there. :D :D

If you could change the colour of your Z what colour would you do?
Plaid = politician's favourite colour. Black thing = fuses, if I remember correctly (Car is not here so I can't check)

Alloys "what can i do"
I found this article: The wider rear rims have a +50mm offset. You can use wheels with less or more offset. The important thing is to align the center of the wheel over the center of the wheel bearing as closely as you can, so that the stresses will be picked up as designed into the car. If they're not, you can be looking at wheel bearing failure in pretty short order. You can damage other components if a wheel bearing fails, such as the ABS sensors in front ($950 each, because they're part of the hub which has to be replaced at the same time). Front bearings go for about $85 each - there are two. Rear bearings are about $125 each. Both these prices are at a discount from list... Some folks buy wheels with more offset than stock, then add spacers to move the wheel back on the bearing center. You can do that, but you may have to invest in longer wheel studs if the spacers are more than maybe 3 mm. Wheels with less than stock offset invite rubbing on fender well sections and stress on the bearings, plus changes in camber, which introduces more tyre wear.... nb Compare 18" and 17" tyre prices......

steering/brakes
Forgot to say that excess on inner section of tyre = too much 'Toe-out'. Does sound as tho' you have 1/2 disc/s warped.

If you could change the colour of your Z what colour would you do?
Hey c'mon get real! Unless your Pa likes things really complicated, stay with RED. It would be horribly naff not to have the engine bay the same colour. Now, call me Mr. Picky, but that sounds like engine out, ancilliaries out, for a proper job. Not to mention all the doors insides... Cannot remember whose bay this is in attachment Why not get some nice shiny bits from Smithy and polish all the Ally?

What gauges?
I'll try again.

What gauges?
Here's pic of the Turbo Boost gauge; £42.99 Other gauges are £31.99 Not yet worked out to get pictures actually into the post, rather by link.

What gauges?
Right! So that's Boost Gauge + Water Temp + Oil Pressure all digital, ok? (and an oh so cool push button start;) ;) )

Dead Zed! :(((
See this re PTU; seems typical prob on that age Zed. http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/appendixz.aspx#Power%20Transistor You would have thought that you would get a fault code showing. Don't know whether you can have a sick transistor unit and not a fault code.

What gauges?
Thanx Jaffa. Was thinking of relying on the std opg and fitting oil temp, 'tho prepared to stand corrected. 3 gauge pod to fill.
-
What gauges?
Going to fit proper boost gauge, poss digital. What other gauges would be really useful? tia
-
part number
Um, is that what I would know as the Tension Rod? Ask AndyZ for bits like that.
