Urgent help needed with Z purchase please
No (reliable?) service history I suppose? Who did the M.O.T. test? Go and have a word see if it passed first time. Why does the garage want such a quick answer? What size garage? How long in business? Reputation? Walk away if you are not completely happy! Problem with imports is that you can not be really sure what's happened to them. You would be safer to buy from a specialist dealer or one with FSH.

interior kits suggestions - please
I acquired this article yesterday: _ Required Materials: Automotive Sandable Primer Dupli-Color Enamel Paint Dupli-Color Automotive Clearcoat Hair dryer _ Note: Dupli-Color is recommended but is not necessary, if you have a brand you prefer use that but please make sure it is a top quality brand. _ 1. Remove and mask off one test piece Remove one small little piece as a demonstration. Pop off the ashtray on the back-end of the center console or use a piece you might have in your garage. Mask off any part that you do not want paint to hit. 2. Sand it down use 300 grit sandpaper. Sand it all completely and evenly. Make sure you get all the edges. Then move to a smoother sandpaper, use 600. This will smooth everything our and make it ready to paint. 3. Wash it off Wash off all the dust from sanding it, dry and let sit for a few minutes. 4. Spray first coat of primer evenly spray your first coat of primer. Make sure you get every spot, but MAKE SURE YOU GET IT EVENLY. Spray left to right in smooth strokes, not up and down. Begin spraying before you're even aiming at it, then as you spray move to the right over the object to ensure a smooth coats and no drip marks. 5. Let it dry Let the first coat completely dry. Use your hairdryer at a low setting and evenly blow it all over the object. After a couple of minutes set the hairdryer to a higher setting. Blow the hairdryer on the object for about 5 minutes to ensure dryness. Make sure the hairdryer is about 6 inches of the part if not you might make marks in your paint. 6. Spray second coat of primer Repeat step 4. 7. Let it dry Repeat step 5. 8. Spray first coat of your chosen color after it is completely dry, spray on the color by following the same steps as when you sprayed the primer. Repeat spraying and drying until you have three coats of the color on your part. 9. Add clearcoat Clearcoat will protect your new interior's paintjob. Without clearcoat the paint will scratch off very easily. Follow the same steps when spraying on clearcoat as you did when you sprayed on the primer and the final color. Spray two coats of clearcoat on each piece. 10. Re-install it’s now time to re-install the piece that you painted. _ _ _

Push button starting
Here it is from my Zed Mods directory; couldn't persuade the system to let me pm you. I forgot mention but I always press the clutch in b4 I start engines but maybe I'm too picky?? I am no way responsible for any damages or injuries caused by doing these modifications. WORK AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! How To Install A Push Button Starter Materials: Electrical connectors S2000 Engine Start Button Needle Nose Pliers 20 gauge wire wire strippers Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) 30A Relay Internal power connector (3.5 disk drive) First and most importantly, select the location where you will install the button. This location should be somewhat flat and larger then the diameter of the button itself. Now, Prepare the location by removing the panel that will be used for the install. Drill a hole in the selected location and dremel out the area until the button fits snuggly and plush. Start splicing into wires to power starter button. Splice into the power source for the button; the power outlet is an excellent source. Next, connect to the hot wire and the ground from the power outlet. Start splicing into wires found in the steering column. To do this, remove the shroud around the steering column. Tap into the 12v constant or power wire (white, for most Hondas). Tap into the ignition wire (black with yellow, fmh). * Tap into the starter wire (black with white, fmh). *May not be necessary with your car. Needed for 2001 or newer Hondas with immobilizer. Connect to a ground by finding a bolt that touches metal on the frame and connect to it. Connect the internal power connector to the S2000 starter button. Be sure that the first 4 pins are connected, the fifth will not be. The hot wire from the power outlet connects to position 2 on the button. The ground wire from the power outlet connects to position 2 on the button. Finally, the wire from position 1 will connect to the relay. Now connect to the relay. The wires connect to the following positions on the relay. 30- starter wire 85- ground 86- engine start button 87a*- ignition 87- 12v constant (power wire) After all connections, turn the key to the second position. The car should start with the press of the button. If not, check all connections and troubleshoot.

The Image of a Zed driver?????
The age of a design is irrelevant to its elegance. Concorde is an old(ish) design but probably one of the best things ever designed by man; Humber bridge; E-type jaguar (but drive one and see whether you would use it daily!). The wheel is an old, old design..... IMFFRHO, the Zed is a timeless classic - it'll still look good next century but beware too many addons! It's certainly fast but need not be too loud. The biggest problem with Zed is that it is by Nissan. Say its badge was Aston-Martin..... I couldn't care less if some (philistine) doesn't like it; I think that it is an utter delight to the eye. There isn't an angle that jars. There are a lot of cars about that have one/two good profiles but are let down by certain views. I had a garage built to house a new Cougar but bought the Zed instead - it's never been in because I love to see it as I wander about. Nigel - if your clients have an eye for design, they will appreciate why you have a Zed! (If you drove an expensive car they might think that your fees are too high - mebbe they do anyway ;) )

Useful info John, thnx. As you used a pit did you leave it on the wheels or lift up the front end? Or would that not help to get at the steering rod bushes?
