  1. Yes, Stuart, it is from eBay. That's the view most people get ~ otherwise they see the nose bearing down upon them in the rearview mirror. Nobody in my neck of the woods has anything close.
  2. This was what it was like on Tuesday: Been using toothbrush and WD40. Tackling the easiest parts first! Nipping into town tomorrow for some litres of trichloroethylene and mebbe some xylene. Planning to polish the plenum but that does not look very practical in situ.
  3. Just fitted and wired up on UK Zed and new glass fibre spoiler. Shame about the cracking down the rear light panel.
  4. Not as horrible as before. First two shiny bits from Smithy and shiny oil filler cap. Oh, and note the titanium alloy wipers.
  5. Another nice shiny bit but unseen. Highly recommended mod.
  6. One of the biggest improvements you could make would be to have polyurethane bushes fitted and a pillow ball tension rods. Just had it done and the difference is marvellous. Only pity is that no-one can see what's been done.
  7. Plenty of 100 watt bulbs available on eBay.
  8. Unless you can do the work yourself and get cheap used parts it surely cannot be worth spending so much money! Better to smarten her up a bit and be satisfied with that, or get rid and buy a manual. (Which is what you should have done in the first place:p :p!)
  9. Std offset is 45 front and 35 rear; wider wheels need less. To do with keeping the centre line of the wheel over the bearing.
  10. Thanks for moving it Gio. Know how to clean the bay - WD40/Trich - rags, toothbrushes etc. Load of shiny bits in stock and on way. Can only get better! Part two picture tomorrow. Been off the road for 6+ months
  11. iirc = If I Recall Correctly
  12. Damn! This is in the wrong forum. Mr. Moderator - can bung this across to General Discussion pl? Tried to delete it but couldn't.
  13. My engine bay as it is now. Eeek. I warned you. Since that was taken I've fitted a shiny oil filler cap; it's a start. :o
  14. That'll be a Z31. Sounds like fuel starvation. Check filter, pump, lines. Air and spark other things to check.
  15. Much better res picture! Very nice too; SS fuse cover and transparent bonnet - shame to cover it up. Been playing 'Spot the Difference' but all I can see is more carbon fibre. ?.
  16. "What do you want to do when you leave school?" they said to me. "Photographer," I said. Talked me out of it, the rotten b*******s.

235mm tyres cannot fit properly on 10" = 254mm wheel!
  18. Try this place: http://www.zxman.com/specials.htm
  19. In another life i was born blonde! If that were true then you would not: a) have the wit to buy a Zed. b) bother to ask any questions. :)
  20. Or digital gauges here: http://www.stores.ebay.co.uk/iconcaraccessories/plistings/list/all/dept1/index.html?col=2&dir=-1
  21. Wider tyres go on the wider rims. Some use the same width, some don't! 1 inch = 25.4mm 7.5" good for 225 8".............235, 245 9"..........245, 255 etc There is some tolerance of course. Informative site here: http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbibles/index.html
  22. See Stuart's site as above and here: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/bushingstech.html
  23. Whilst browsing for myself, I found these: http://www.paintain.co.uk/Automo/garg_eqp/gseqp03.htm http://www.msctool.com/item_1311.htm Here's machine mart, bigger one looks good; do a nice lifter too. http://www.machinemart.co.uk/search.asp?q=engine+stand
  24. Perhaps you need the exercise?;) Yep, they're smallish and not always in line with the drive either. To be fair, the Zed is a bigger-than-average motor. I had a g. specially built for my Zed but I so enjoy seeing its elegant parked outside that I don't actually put it away tho' I think that I will this back end/winter. (There's a cctv camera in there so I could still keep an eye on it.) hmm, should I have put 'her' instead of 'it'?
