Found it ! It was a TV film called Hostile Waters.....

Having watched Crimson Tide the other night...... There was a film a few years ago with much the same arguement between the captain and his XO about torpedoing a Russian nuclear sub that surfaced with its missile hatches open It turned out the sub was on fire and he then dived with the hatches open to extinguish the fire Don't think it was Red October but I can't think what it was called Anyone ?

I can take the key out of mine and leave it running. For the MOT I switch the Turbo Timer off. Otherwise I set the Turbo Timer for 3 minutes and I can turn the Key back, press the button and take the keys out and the engine keeps running for three minutes until the Turbo Timer switches the engine off

okay as long you have a laptop with a serial interface, If you've only got usb you'd be stuffed

The one on the right is a wrong plug......

If you've got a multimeter handy and got a continuity checker on it you should be able to pinpoint where the fault is quite quickly

That happened to me when I was doing a bit over the limit on the M40 shortly after I got it I saw a cloud of steam in rear view mirror and my first thought was 'I can't be going fast enough to leave a vapour trail' ! Stopped it before any damage as done though

Well what I meant was you could have Boost jets and a rechip to have max boost available all the time and just back off a bit if it's damp or slippery Thing that worries about boost controllers is having it set wrong when you don't realise it is..... Like needing full power to get out of trouble and boost is turned down or being on a dodgy surface and thinking it's turned down and it isn't and spinning into the barrier or something Far better to have full boost all the time and choose how much of it you use My own opinion of course
