Started new job yesterday and guess what?
Started my new job yesterday, much better being at home every night rather than away all week. Feel like a fish out of water as the last two jobs were identical and had eleven years experience. Anyway the new company manufacture flexi exhausts couplings. So had the grand tour today and the R&D department have pit that staff can book time on to work on their cars  But that's not all they have, a virtual pint if anyone can guess what else they have?

Headlight Earth
My drivers side headlight isn't working properly, I think its a dodgy earth. Any ideas where it earths or can I wire one in straight to the body as an easy fix? I have to drive back home to Cardiff tomorrow from Luton in the snow so want fully working lights.

Nanny State
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/4/20091216/tuk-ministers-want-councils-to-slash-spe-dba1618.html I'm all in favour of reducing road deaths and speed limits outside schools bu come on! How about bringing back road safety education to schools rather than some of the other sh*t they have introduced. Perhaps then some of the twerps wouldn't play chicken!!

Overheating solved?
Bonnet is 1 inch higher, between that and the vents alot of hot air can now escape. The car can idle for hours with the bonnet up and fans running but not overheat, when it was down it overheated. This set up allows alot more air to escape rather than staying under the bonnet and heating everything up.

Took her for a spin today!
Now the over heating seems to be sorted http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=133893 took the car on a 50 mile round trip. I'm pleased to say all went well and had a few good runs up the dual carriage way:scooter: although accelerating in third around 60-70 the tail end started to wander a little at one point  The lag on the single turbo is a little annoying but think once it's running more than 11psi it will be less noticeable, the main problem is I keep running out of road before I get full power and forget 5th on full boost... I need a runway for that! Will try to get a video posted again this weekend.

Overheating solved?
After trying various things to solve the over heating including, water wetter, bigger rad, 2nd fan, manifold lagging and heat deflector the car still ran to hot. Think I have now solved it with these two things, not what I wanted to do but I'd rather this than cooking the engine! What do you think?

Another Gearbox Noise Thread
If I put the car into gear there is no noise, as soon as I pull off it starts and then stops once moving a few mph's. Then sometimes in 3rd and 4th just after changing when accelerating.
-
Another Gearbox Noise Thread
I have done a search on here but found nothing conclusive. When I pull off there is a sort of grinding/vibration noise, once moving it's fine. Then sometimes when I accelerate in third from a slow speed the noise is there to. Any ideas?
