It looks like the Mitsubishi garage back tracked and offered the car at the price at auction end.

Dont suppose it could be a faulty thermostat sticking? What about a faulty rad cap letting air in? If mine stays OK now, Im blaming it on air locks. If it goes again, Ill try a new rad cap. I know what you mean though, it just seems to happen out of the blue.

Well, now Im happy with the power on the car (For now), thought I would look at the suspension. I thought the suspension was standard, but it has harder than normal springs. Good for cornering, bad for a smooth ride. With the 99 front end the car seems a lot lower, hits speed bumps more often, though only a v light scrape. How far have you managed to lower your car, without sacrificing too much every day usability?

I had this the other day. All was fine for ages, then it started bubbling and then overheated. So i filled it up, and went for a little drive. ALl was OK, but had to put in another litre. Did the same again, went for a drive then put another litre in. Seems like it could have been air locks. Temperature is now rock solid.

No, front bumber was replaced 6 weeks ago with a 99 front end. Then damaged 2 1/2 weeks ago by somebody else. Am I cursed?!? Oh, yeah. I imagine his insurance is going to have to pay. I stopped, he didnt.

Yep. Mostly to his car! :) However, its going to need a minimum of a new UK spec rear bumper. Or maybe its an excuse to get a new one from the Z centre ;) Might need a new back box as well. Oh and a new number plate. And the steering has gone funny as well. Do you know what that could be?

Because a lot of other drivers cars seem very attracted to it at the moment. Twice in the space of 3 weeks, my car has been hit. Once by a dozy driver who hadnt cleaned their windscreen, and therefore didnt see that small car parked on the road. The second was about an hour ago, when a bloke in a citroen thought 3 metres was sufficient stopping distance in the wet at 30 mph. I am not a happy man. :mad:

Simple one :) Which fuses need to be removed to reset the ECU? Prefer not to remove the connection to the battery as it plays havoc with the stereo. Thanks. Brian.

Since my daily drive got nicked, I have been using the Z as a daily driver until the insurance money comes through. The only problem is that its a 108 mile round trip a day. :( Fuel bill isn't very nice. But the car is solid. Its comfy and its fun :) Even if I have to service it every fortnight! ;)

It has come to this... The Z may have to go. It looks like I may have to 'downsize' the car. :cry: It is something that I really, really dont wont to do, but may have no choice. Just spent almost £2K on A full respray, spoiler and 99 front end. As well as all the servicing. Its just not fair. :(

Thats the problem. The paint wasnt the normal Graphite grey. It has more metallic flecks in it. Its going back to the same body shop, so hopefully they can blend it properly. :(

Nice to meet a few of you yesterday. Im quite happy with mine, 325 at the flywheel. Mods are Mongoose exhaust, K&N filters in the airbox, chip + boost jets. Roll on Spring!

I know what you mean. :( I got 325 at the flywheel, but 248 at the RW. I suppose Id got my hope set a little high. Oh, well. Back to the drawing board. ;)
