ZED Storage query
FU*******************K!!!!! The bill for the car is £1051........ They say that the clutch plates in the car were totally shot and that they knackered the clutch plate too! The kit they use apparently comes from America and costs £295 and the labour came to a staggering £600!! So with the vat its £1051 and I am at a fooking loss with this car! Now, it stands me at £12K, and I am fooking struggling for cash big time and I cant keep boosting up the debts as I aint ever gonna get anywhere! Majorly contemplating selling again!!!! How the fook am I gonna pay this bill?!?!?!?!?!

ZED Storage query
Yeah well, turned 26 last week and the new missus said she wanted to buy a house, and it kinda makes sense! I have been paying rent for about 7 years now and I have worked out I have blew around £30K on fook all!!! Thats a lot of dollar to waste! I mean, in our life we on average will earn about £1m (average salary) so 30K of that is a good waste!!!! This needs to change! Thing is though God I gotta sort myself out, this car has a lot to answer for!!! Other f******* annoying thing is the amount of time it has been off the road and the amount of money wasted on Insurance, tax etc.........BUGGER!!!!

ZED Storage query
Hi Simmo, am in the middle of doing that at the mo, transferring two cards balances to the one which is interest free, that should help me out! It just seems that if u read through all the horror stories from Zed owners on this forum, I have had them all come at once without having any use hardly from this car what-so-ever! You do expect these things to happen without a doubt, I have had turbo cars for years and used to work on my escort and rover but not on the 300, its just too much for me alone to handle! I guess there has to be one VERY unlucky person, and it just so happens to be me......:( I dont think I can sell the car as when I go buy another one, how do I know I am not going to have the same problems??:( I think storage is going to be the best idea!

ZED Storage query
Hi Tony, You really think I should sell? You know the dissapointing thing? After the gearbox and including the car costs etc it'll stand me about £12K. I'll be lucky to get £7 for it even with all the warrantys and new parts! So I will be paying of £5K of debt for fook all! HOW F**K ME depressing is that!!!!! Some f*ka give me a gun!!!:( :( :( :( :( :(

ZED Storage query
Guys + Gals, I am seriously thinking of putting the ZED into storage as the gearbox is going to cost me close to a grand and what with the MOT being due (bodywork needs doing) and the tax running out, I am very very very short on cash, this is what the car has done to me! I earn good money but the car has really kicked my ass over the past 6 months, as some of you well know and along side the cost of living (renting), times are hard! As a reault of the increasing debt, and wanting to start thinking about buying a house as the house market is getting more pathetic by the day, I thought that it may be wise to store the ZED away in a garage for 6-12 months rather than sell it as it has mainly new parts on it now (although the warranty will probably run out by the time I get it back on the road?) What do you guys think? SELL or STORE?    I thought I could sell and pay off a loan!

Auto Gearbox problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure about the Pump Mark, he never did say why they changed the pump?? So you think that they havent cleared out the box properly!? Thing is, and I have no reason to support them what-so-ever, but VMTP are a huge firm that deal just about with nothing else then auto boxes, so is it possible that they have messed up here? How would I get them to admit it??

Auto Gearbox problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and the fluid has always been a crystal clear red!?! I always check fluid levels and consistency!:)

Auto Gearbox problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So what your saying then Mark is that these guys should have known better than to just replace the torque convertor?? And when they replaced that, they should have noticed the bits of shrapenel and looked further afield! I guess then I would have saved on labour charges! Hoe can the rebuild be expensive if: 1) The torque convertor and pump and warranted 2) The gearset is OK? Surely these parts are the most expensive????

Auto Gearbox problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, just got off the phone from Lee @ VMTP (good old boy he is), he says that they have checked the pressure inside the gearbox and it would seem that the pump is being blocked in some way preventing the build up of pressure. This would explain the lack of drive! He says they have also taken the sump off the gearbox and there are bits of shrapenel there but he doesnt think it is the gearst as I would have noticed this going?!? Ie. this problem just appeared! He thinks it is more likely to be some sort of fricion material thats showing?!? Anyone got any ideas?!?!  Am I still looking at bucks you think??

Auto Gearbox problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it does seem like the only thing left to go on the car has gone then! I checked the fluid last week and it was absolutely fine!!! I had the torque convertor replaced about 4 months back and they also carried out some other work, is there any chance that this may be linked to this?!?? Warranty perhaps?!? I have just spent £4000 getting the turbos replaced and before that I spent £650 what with the torque convertor etc, is this ever ever gonna stop? I wouldnt mind if I drive it hard but I honestly dont?!?!?? OK, OK, I'll calm down, although I have just about come to the end of my tether with this car. Lets say it is the gearbox, whats my CHEAPEST alternative other than selling?? Convert to manual?!?

Auto Gearbox problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Guys, Well, those of you that know me that I have had no luck with this car and the bad luck continues. The problem would see to be with the auto gearbox, which is a UK car but has a seperate oil cooler. I went to my friends this morning and parked up which was a 2 miles drive. I went back to my car and then reversed off the drive and put the car into neutral whilst my friend pulled oof the drive. I then out the car into drive and proceeded to drive up a slight hill anout 100m and then the car seemed to just lose drive. I tried to put the car into 1st and 2nd but no difference. I then left the car for a bit and started it back up, this allowed me to drive about 1/2 a mile down the road when it starts happening again. This did enable me to get back to my mums. Has anyone any ideas as to what the feck is going on?!?!? There is no oil leaking from underneath the car and does anyone know how to properly check the oil level on a 300zx auto gearbox????

I have had exactly the same problems, except when I had my torque convertor replaced, I drove home from the garage and the turbo went!!! NIGHTMARE!!! I just wanted to cry!:D

Wires Broken!
Guys, I have noticed that at the drivers side back of the engine there is a white sheafed wire that leads to a connector which hangs down the back of the engine, probably should be attached to a clip or something, but it hangs and its OK there. There seems to be an identical wire on the other side too! Thing is, one of the wires coming out the other side of the connector (2 in total) is broken. NOW, the car runs fine (TOUCH WOOD Not sure what to do?!?! Does anyone know what this wire is?

Quick Easy question, need answer B4 5pm
Guys, Gonna fit the main power lead for me amp to the battery after work, just wanna check that removing the power lead for all of about 1 min isnt gonna cause me any probs so I cant get home. Sorry if I am being stupid, but I am sure that this resets the ECU and I just wanna get home and not in safety boost!!:D :D Cheers for your advice. Mark. PS. Itsa good to be back.....;)

Turbo Dynamics question
I had two of these fitted, one went after about 9 days but its been a long debate as to who was to blame, gone past caring now as its all sorted. Good turbos, but I am only running .6psi boost at the mo to run them in!;)
