  1. Mate, take it to a garage, no offence, but your knowledge seems too low on a Z to take on a job like this. ;)
  2. Guys Has anyone got any software to crack a password an ex employee has put to Protect a document? It isnt the read only or open password, its the one to unprotect it once the document is open. I have downloaded quite a few shareware versions but they cant do the protection password, and the ones that can, want me to pay for them! Ta.
  3. I havent got these yet but their a must have!! Been in a zed with them, what a difference.... IMO, this shouldnt be classed as a MOD :nono: , more as a design fault in need of correction!! :o :slap: NISSAN :slap:
  4. And if money is an option, your looking to get into a rather expensive habit! ;)
  5. FYI, dont have the vacuum tank on mine and its fine....like you say, depends on what your preference is....
  6. Get some gaskets made up, you can buy the stuff from Halfrauds, comes in sheets! :) Then use some sealant around the join......thats how mines done, doesnt blow at all... ;)
  7. Good purchase, well worth having IMHO......havent got them sorry....now you just need the manifolds, their an awesome piece of kit!!
  8. A happy ending...... :) Nice one guys, now kiss and make up!!! :D
  9. Sounds very messy, I hope you both sort it out....... Paying fro goods after you receive them is never good IMHO, better to either be able to afford it then or not at all.... :o Good luck.... ;)
  10. Thanks mate, couldnt be arsed to read the rest properly, I will get back in my hole! :D Stunning car though whoever owns it....
  11. Paul, why would he of had his car done like that if it wasnt to his taste? lol Maybe it wasnt initally, but he paid for the car to be sprayed that way so he must of liked it..... At the end of the day who gives a 5hit, its his car, it looks the *****xs, good on ya.....you've given me ideas now! :D
  12. TBH mate, I am pretty sure the 'exit' as it was wont make any difference to power unless you made it into a pea size hole! Its all to do with the manifolds, downpipes and system, the angles (flow) also plays a large part but for up to 600bhp, a 2.5" bore system is adequate... ;)
  13. Thanks Eric, I forgot their was 2 there..... :) No need to worry then, then fan should cut in when it registers whatever degrees it is to activate the fan.
  14. Guys Just a thought, without the original loom wire on the temperture sender unit, I presume that my fan wont cut in to aid cooling when hot. I have the apexi sender unit and wiring running so is it as easy as splicing the apexi wire and joining the OEM loom? Or ill this stop both from working? TA. M. ;)
  15. Absolutely correct, anything bigger will reduce power, big isnt always better... ;)
  16. Well Tubs - vary, £1500+ for the pair Injectors - £600 Coolers - £700 Boost controller - £350 Boost guage - vary, £150 (apexera) ECU - remap and RR - £400 Labour on fitting parts - £shit loads, I would charge £1500 to do it. New loom once you fit the injectors cus all the ******* connectors break - £730+VAT (nissan) Well all the mods with labour I have had done had cost me 000's, I have lost count..... You'll probably need downpipes to match the tubs too......it'll cost loads, not trying to put you off but I have been aiming for the same and 2 1/2years later and thousands of pounds spent, I still aint there yet..... Good luck....
  17. MOT Eric happens to be a respected forum member for his knowledge so rather than just using one word to let us know your thoughts, how about you explain? Mark.
  18. 400bhp Bigger tubs Bigger Injectors Bigger Intercoolers Boost controller Aftermarket boost guage Chip would need remapping to suit the new mods That lot will get you 400bhp+......get your credit card ready though......££££££

I love the old MR2 banter and what makes my comments more solid is the mrs owning an REV3 MR2 tub. It IS a nice looking car, make no mistake, power wise, its not bad, a completely different drive to the 300 but it does push you back in your seat. After just chaning the clutch on the MR2, I can honestly say that it is a TOTAL b1tch to work on, to almost do any job the engines gotta come out WTF?!? I thought the Zed was difficult! Drivewise, the MR2 doesnt feel as planted as the Zed, as it wouldnt for a lighter mid-engined car but the WORST part about the car, and even the mrs (Owner of the MR2 Turbo) agrees that its total sh1t around bends without seriously modifying the suspension, and then what its like remains to be seen. Then engine is int he wrong place for cornering, great for launches but soon as you try and swing the back end out, it 360's!!!! And yes, I can drive! :D My overall opinion, its a womans car with a turbo, blokes dont look right driving them, and the differences between the tub and the na is too small, when they should have made the tub stand out.......overall, I'll never own one but the mrs looks damn sexy behind the wheel. To answer the inital question, I reckon my Zed is as torquey as fook, it just pulls and pulls all the way to 140 then it dies off slightly.....look in my sig at the mods, and after taking Chunk for a ride, he reckons its a mid 12 second car...to go better, more boost, coolers on, stronger internals and 11's are possible..... HTH
  20. Guys Me and Spinksy have had a total mare changing the clutch!!! It ended up with the eintire engine coming out due to not beng able to find one gearbox bolt hidden by the side of the starter motor under all the pipes.... ANYWAY, engine is back in, managed sheer a bolt in the air con unit!! GRRR, so thats had to come off and be retapped.....now, I cant figure out the inboard end of the passenger side driveshaft..... The bearings came out as I was trying to put the driveshaft back in, so, I took the driveshaft off the car, cleaned it all up but I when I put it all back together there isnt any movement in the joint?!?!? I have tried loads of different ways but I cant get the CV joint to be flexible, its just solid!!!! So, I need to get another driveshaft, 4 hours labour is enough time wasted on a cheap driveshaft..... The quesiton is, is the driveshaft for the rev3 turbo any different to any other MR2 passenger side driveshaft? If so fine, I'll get one, but I dont want to be offered a non-turbo or a different REV driveshaft if it isnt going to be right? Does anyone know? Thanks for your help in advance, I really want to get this finished tomorrow.... Cheers guys...
