Dipone, your right. Excluding the actual standard parts i.e. leather, I have calculated that if I sold everything at a fair price I would get between £5-6K. That's only a third that has been spent but there you go. The tubs and manual conversion are worth £1300 together alone.... :)

Si, I agree with some of your comments but say if someone bought my car for £3k, spent another £2.5k tidying it up, they'd have an awesome Zed, worth at least £6, maybe £7K imo.

So a good standard Zed is worth £4-5k. Why is it then that I am struglling to get £3k for a Zed with 000's spent on it? The most I have been offered is £1000. I would NEVER sell the car for that..... Like you say, I'll wait for a true enthusiast to appreciae what I have already done and continue the project.

Damn it, rumbled! :) No its true Mark, the Supra has to be the most reliable sports car I have ever owned and if I had a double garage then I guarantee that I would finish the Zed. The turth is however is that trying to run the Zed everyday for work, even when fixed, would just cost too much; then there's reliability but we wont go there!. The Supra isnt cheap but its a damn sight easier to work on than the Zed. With the child coming along I dont want to be stuck in a shed in the cold fixing my car in the evenings after work; I want to be at home spending time with the young one. And that's what swayed my decision..... I will have another Zed in the future but before that happens I'll have the 4-bed house with the double garage, with a lift and everything; one day..... I suppose I'd best starting pricing parts up!

Max HP has been debated on here before. I believe CJ's best was 420bhp but in my opinion with the right mods you'll reach 450bhp before they max out. I cant remember the max boost but I'm sure it's around 28psi. The most I ever ran was 20psi and that felt unbelieveable. It's looking at this point like I'm going to have to break although I would much prefer to sell whole. OK another question. Whats the car worth in a running state with the engine sorted?

There is also no MOT or Tax as its been off the road for a while because of the headgasket and what with getting married last summer and now the baby coming along, I just dont have the space or time to get it finished. I have a Supra (I can hear the boo's now :o) ) that I can drive everyday so its not all bad for me but we need a better car for my wife and child so its time to let go after 4 years. I have all the receipts and comprehensive documentation since I have owned the car all in a folder; including the receipt for the new turbos fitted at Option Motorsport in Silverstone. I shant tell you that amount it cost! :o) The car will need 2 new rear tyres for the MOT. All the interior panels have also been taken out the car and the twed has been removed. They are ready to be covered and I have some foam and material for a test but I never got round to finish this; a small job and perhaps an ideal stage for someone to choose their own colour. Guys I set a password last night on an Excel spreadsheet what with it being of a personal nature, banking stuff etc, thats took me 5 hours to create. This morning when I typed the password in, its telling me that the password is incorrect when I know its right. Its Excel 2002 (XP) if that helps.... I have tried downloading some password hackers from Limewire but all that does is install viruses!!! :slap: Have you guys got any utilities/tools to help??? :confused:

Guys Just wanted to announce that I am getting married on the 18th of next month and also that I will be a proud father come February next year. In light of this, I am just about to send the heads/bottom end off to be reconditioned for the Zed. Once there back, fitted, a RR tune will be in order and then the car will be up for sale. Oh, the interior will have been re-done too as well as new brakes, tyres and an MOT. Not sure what I'll be asking but I'm not letting it go without a fight.
