Here, Here. I have to say I have been following his progress for some a few years now and I cant see why he would fabricate these figures?? Maybe the dyno is out, maybe it isnt, put a standard car on it and find out..but either way, well done.. :)

Yeah I know Mark @ Performace Heaven, I bought my Injectors off him. He's a decent chap is what I pick up from our first meet, and they have worked on a few Zeds so they know what their talking about. 12 hours, well if they are taking the engine out the car, theirs two hours, then seperating the two halves, then sending the block off to be honed, crank reground ro whatever your having done, then it depends whether their rebuilding the bottom end? Even if their not, they have got to pay someone to do the work, then they gotta build it all back up and put it back in the car. 12 hours sounds sensible to me, they have got to cover themselves in case something goes wrong, which is oh to easy on the V6. The garage price you have been quoted sounds about right to me....but then I dont own a garage but am going to be taking the job on myself..... You could PM Mark (Topless) or Greg, they both work for Zed garages ans can give you some form of comparison. Look in the traders section.....HTH ATB M.

Must admit that is one FINE GTO!!! Well done to the owner, made it look very nice... Skylark wise, I have started lookinf towards them of late but I think thats because my Zed is SORN with a blown headgasket at the mo, so I'm depressed, and looking at Skylark prices, thier reasonable. The only one though that I would chop my Z in for is a GTR34 V-Spec, black with gold allies, after that, its the Vanquish.....hmmmmm.....one day... ;)

Sounds about right Graham, or do the work yourself, get the bores honed, get the right size rings, bearings (after measurement) and DIY. Its a doddle... ;)

Welcome to 'Torqueland', and yes, its fookin awesome :bow: ......and scary.... :D ...... Karlos's car is a higher spec than mine, I really cant imagine anything faster than mine being able to stay in a straight line in 1st, 2nd and 3rd....it must be mad!!! :D

;) I have kept quiet for a while and having been a member on here for some time I can safely say that there is too much SH1T posted nowadays on this forum, and its dead easy to name the culprits, although I'm not going to. ;) What Mike is doing here is for the greater good of this club as far as I am concerned, less sh1t and more intellectual subjects, and not just cars. Well said above and done mike...... :bow: :bow: The longer you own the car, the greater your knowledge increases even if you dont do the work yourself.

Interesting, I remember reading loads of posts in the past about how long you should wait after a certain period of time drive, the longer harder the drive, the longer the time for the tub to cool down. Are you saying, even after a realyl hard blast, 30 seconds idle is enough? :confused:

Well, the family are completely fed up of the Zed not being finished and all have agreed to help chip in to get it back on the road this Xmas, after all, its all I need. Well, done to the point that its back on the road with the bits I want, not the complete project, that can wait.... So, what can I ask for? So far: Mum: Apexi turbo timer Bro1: Front/Rear strut braces Bro2: ????? Mrs: New H/G kit, heads/bottom end pressure tested/skimmed, bottom end bored/re-ringed Any ideas?

Well I have admired the car since I was 18, thats 10 years ago and have owned for nearly 3 years.....thats the longest I have ever kept one car, it has made an impression! :D
IMO, anti-freeze is anti-freeze, just fill it to the top of the rad cap then turn over the engine, top up if needed, place the cap on, let it get warm, run for 10mins or so, turn off engine, bleed the rad with the bleed valve (not sure where this is on a Koyo?), after air has escaped, open rad cap, top up again, repeat until no more water/antifreeze is required. HTH
