Like Legrath said, if a Type-r was almost with me when I crossed the line in my zed (That being a standard zed I mean) I would be wholey embarrassed!!! I mean first of all we have the RWD, they have crappy front, then we have loads more grunt, especially in mid-range...!!!!!

A type-r can really get a 14.1!! Wow, I am surprised. Whent he Zed was standard, spanking them was dead easy but a standard Zed according to that time would only just beat it on the 1/4?!? What about a REV3 MR2 tub, with filter and full stainless.....14.0??

Bugger about that pipe mate, makes me realise how much I am making the right choice rebuilding mine......and bypassing the plenum water pipes has gotta be done!!! Nice to finally meet Yaz and Dave last night, spoken enough times but never met.... :) It'll be good to see the comparison in our engines when finished, at the very least I want a low 11 second quarter......I aint gonna settle for anything less.... :dance: Roll on next spring...... :)

Hi John The reason for my bore-washing is down to me replacing the recircs and also the chip, I should have got in touch sooner!! (not a complaint mate, I'm happy to buld a better engine! :D ) But I will need you map it all up for me when its done if thats OK? It wont be till the new year at least, prob Jan/feb time.... If you dont mind, I wouldnt mind a quick chat this week about the work I will be doing on my spare engine, you still got the same number? M.

Thanks Eric, I have heard of FLEX on the bottom end when the heads are bolted back on, hence the torque plate. I am going to print off the JWT spec that AndrweG supplied me with to make sure that they know what the score is. Cheers. M.

Geeky At this moment in time I cant answer that question, but any extra fuel/air mix has got to produce more power as long as its all configured properly. And the cost is tiny to get it bored out, surprisingly tiny. I wouldnt have gone for this if I hadn't bore-washed my engine, but as I have, why the hell not? ;) M.

Been in many stock RX7's, the stock TT Zed will win over the quarter easy.....
