They need to know a few things that some of you more teccy owners may know the answer to: 1) I have told them I want to go to either a 3.1/3.2, what oversized pistons and rings would I need? Sorry if this is a dumb arse question!! 2) What is the standard crank and bore size of the zeds block? Thanks again for your help. Guys Does anyone know a reputable firm in the midlands that can rebore my bottom end to 3.1/3.2? I can supply the weisco pistons but I dont know what happens about rings? Do you buy them seperate with big end bearings or do you get the 're-boring' company to measure them up and supply them to? Any advice appreciated guys..... Thanks Mark. :D

Mark, I had the same problem, I spent the best part of 2 days trying to bleed mine!!! Drove m,e f&*(^&*G MAD!!!!!! In the end, I dumped the 3-piece pipe, and manufactured/installed a new copper pipe straight from the master to the slave cylinder, pumped up first time!!! HTH Mark.

Nice, diddnt know fosters did V8's!!!.......only messin bud, good luck, it'll be awesome when its done. I'll be stripping down my engine within the next few months, not as extreme as your project I know but its the next adventure for the zed...... Not had my heart broken for a while (not that thats a bad thing) but I have been there before mate. Only solution for the short term pain is beer and mates, get yourself around people that really DO give a shit about you and then say the beers are on you.....you would have only spent the money on taking her out for dinner......now....take the boys out...... Time heals bud and the Zed will def help......and there are plenty more fish in the sea....I just had 3 on the go at once and had to reject 2 for the third choice..... After all, she was the youngest at 21.... :D Lifes a bitch.......take care mate... ;)

I will def be there, dont think I'll be running the zed though, she's a little poorly at the mo....... Gonna be looking at getting the mrs a MR2 tub, anyone got any advice on buying one? Apart from 'tell her to get a zed!', tried that and failed! :(

I see, well you probably read about my head gasket having gone although the car seemed to boost well.... At the time, I was using LOADS of water, especially if I gave it some (made sense really!)..... Now, I use quite a bit of oil and after a good rag I can smell oil coming through the vents....but.....I dont use any water???? WTF?? The car has been overfueling for about 500 miles now, so I wonder what damage I have caused?!? What do you reckon? I was hoping to get away with just replacing shells etc etc but if I need the rings and block sorting too, then so be it....its just means more time to get the money ready...... Its being stripped within the next few months regardless but I wonder if I should retire her early...... Whats the worst case? Will it just go bang?? :shock:

Guys I have heard that severe overfuelling causes barrel-washing.... Can someone clear up EXACTLY what that means and what the implications are.... I not so concerned with what ends up needs doing but I'm more concerned I'm ready for it..... ;)
