Dave, After getting through 2 boxes and 2 torque convertors, spending shitloads, I got so pissed off with the 'Auto weak crap piece of shit box' that I did the manual conversion for this very reason. I am sure it can be very reliable but the amount of problems I had it just isnt worth the hassle. At the end of the day, it is down to preference but I tell you one thing, I'll never own an Automatic car EVER again.....FACT!

Hi Sarge, we had a convoy of 5 zeds and 1 200 going over, met MickeyB ont he way too. Really good turn out but because we diddnt get there till 7.30, the place was rammed!!! The main field was full of Mondeo's and astras?!? WTF?? Still, next month we get there about 6 I think.....finish work early.... Very nice Zed MickyB, very nice....

Buying my Zed 2 and a 1/2 years ago proved to be a very costly experience. I had a Zed mecahnic come with me to check the car out but even he couldnt have forseen what was going to happen within the next few months. Turbos, rad, gearbox to mention a few issues and it all came to 000's of pounds. All my savings went and the CC bill started to rise. About a year ago, I got so fed up of spending money with other people to fix small issues on my car that I decided to start working on it myself. Like Si says, it is a very scary thing to look at but once you get to grips with what goes where, its really not that difficult. Its just that every job you do involves you moving 200 other items before you can get to it. You'll find that the £20 a year spent subscribing to the club is well worth the money, the amount of information you'll recieve back is amazing. HTH Cheers Mark :duffer:

Dont know which lot of caught the other thread the other day driving to JAE, racing the new 3 series Alpina soft top, left it for dead....HP?? Raced a new M3 last night and again, it wasnt even close....thing is, I have a fooked head gasket (For now...) and I wouldnt say I have nearly as much power as some of the cars on here (MAC1, CJ etc) but I must be pushing decent power to embarras the M3 driver, he even indicated to tell me to go as I was on his tail so quickly....... Equalled my TS of AHEM*175MPH* too and there was more.....?? WTF?? Wonder what I am pushing out, I dare'nt put it on a RR, not much point till the rebuild is done.... Anyone know what BHP the new M3 pushes out??? :confused: Obviously had to top up the water in Grantham!!! :D
