  1. Got up, walked down stairs, smelt something strange, checked pants, wasnt me, went into kitchen, seems dogs got a tummy bug, spent next hour cleaning/disinfecting kitchen floor! Not good.....then had to go to work.....drove the zed though.... :)
  2. I think everyone will want to 'ring' him now!!
  3. Sorry Rich..... :smash: :wack: :x: ;)
  4. LMAO, it is fooking gay mate.....
  5. Sat, for about 2 hours, parked in the main car park as I'm too ashamed topark it next to the rest of you's... :) Nice to put faces to names....ie. CJ, nothing like I imagined, top bloke....
  6. I raced a new at the time '04' M3 when my auto zed was running rough (standard) and there was nothing in it TBH. I have also raced an older plate M3 Evo again when my Zed wasnt brill and again nothing in it, all boring straight line stuff again. The other day going to JAe, I raced a brand spanking new BMW 3 series Aplina convertible, mid range I reeled him in so fast, a little too easy but then at 155mph he maxed out and it was 'bye bye'. Fair enough my zed isnt standard now but I thought he would have given me a decent run, I really should get that head gasket sorted, I must be losing power there too!! Anyone know what spec these new Alpina's are?
  7. Sorry to hear about your Autobox Dave, dead easy to swop over though mate and you'll pick one up cheap enough...... Good luck... :)
  8. Hi mate Outside the car looks fairly standard, apart from the wheels, brakes, exhausts and it sitting lower than normal. Not sure whether you caught my other post but the head gasket has gone on my Zed so that stopped production on it, ie. paintwork, leather till thats sorted. So the pics dont relate the amount of work thats gone into the car. Heres a link to the last lot i got though..... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=49693 Cheers......
  9. Hi Dave I was on the A47 saturday but not sunday......guess mine is normalish ont eh outside apart from the wheel's, exhausts, lowered...... Had an awesome race with an '04 Aplina soft-top bmw going to JAE, I had to do 150 though to get past him.....he was giving me the 'wan4er' sign, so I gave him a wave 'bye bye' sign......he was well pi55ed off....lol
  10. No Richard, but it is highly adviseable due to the ballache of having to remove the engine again....
  11. Glad to hear you got it sorted Mark, best of luck..... ;)
  12. Guys Off to birmingham tonight in the zed ready to fly out tomorrow (in the zed lol) to Rhodes, cant friggin wait, its been over a year since I had a break. Anyone got anything good or bad for that matter about Rhodes?
  13. Cool, thanks for you help mike. Appreciated as always.... ;)
  14. Thanks for that Mike, do you know anyone that retails them in the UK? Also, did you go for the ARP studs or just buy some new head bolts? Thanks.... :)
  15. So thats where his car went? I did wonder all this time who bought it.....I believe he spent loadsa cash on it and then gave up! :( Ah well, long as your getting some enjoyment from it....:)
  16. Another fVcked up thread..... LMAO
  17. Hmmm, thanks for that Steve, no definate answer from that debate as to whether the metal gasket should be used or not. The plan is to run fairly high boost, ie. 17psi+ when its done, the last thing I want is for the head gasket to go with this increased pressure.....but then if the standard one i scapable of that then so be it.... Has anyone out there experimented with different head gaskets??
  18. Guys Anyone used these? http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=1241&osCsid=739984d397ae1ded1d5ed2702f5dc603
  19. A new XK8 off the lights in town, thats with a fooked head gasket and a really bad clutch dump!! It was kinda like....red......amber.....(clutch dump).....green....fook....then when the revs rose it gripped like anything, going forwards almost sideways (Hello bollard!!!).........i love that new clutch....caught him very quickly and by 2nd I was past......I then off course had to find a layby and fill the rad.. :D He diddnt look pleased.....Wonder how quick the car will be when its all done... ??
  20. Vini Dont get me wrong, some of the LED round rears look nice, not to my taste but I appreciate where their coming from. Phil (Spinksy) has these light(lives int eh saem town as me) and the only time they look good is at night IMO and his opinion. You right it is good to be different and I will always appreciate individuality but not when I think someone has taken what is/was a very nice 'BESPOKE' looking rear and runied it.....all IMO of course.... The reason why most have gone down the 90 spec route is because thats what suits the zed best......Nissan did fVck up in so many places with this car, but in the style department, they got it right. Thats not to say a nice bodykit cant enhance it......
  21. WOW, the 90 spec front really does make a big difference...... I was loving those pics till more of those bloody caravan lights appeared! :) Sorry mate, front looks really nice then you go round to the back....
  22. What the ad should have really said was.... 'Fookin' 'el, bloody expensive these zeds, I can only just afford to put petrol in and now the box is fooked, time to sell her on'.........YEAH RIGHT! Give it a few more years yet, the thrash 'em and trash 'em posse will get rid of loads of zeds leaving only decent ones....
  23. Hi Mate Do you not like the '90 spec lights? Do you not think those ones look like caravan lights? Not taking the pee just a general observation.....???? IMO they dont suit the car..... :( Fair play for the hard work though....
