  1. our race car had like 11degrees of camber on the rear right and i thought it was mental! by god did it turn in though on a left hander! Right corners were a little more tricky though XD
  2. my universal rails were a nightmare too! Lots of my welds on there to get it all to line up. Although the passenger seat does seem a touch closer to the door then the gearbox tunnel! Still works though :) Took me a whole day to do both mine so i know what a pain it can be! Well done though :)
  3. i will tell you the best bang for buck no Question! Its this stuff Costs 1 pound from Asda or Tesco and by god does it give a great shine and finish! Give your car a rinse, dry with a towel and then spray on and rub in and you shall be amazed!!!
  4. More plates in the clutch will spread the pressure over reducing wear and tear so going for a twin plate clutch is probably your best bet. a single one may hold all the power for abit but will wear and start to slip
  5. Im Game for 9th of May! I recommended the Brewers Fayre by the M6 North (Next to the HUGE Arnold Clark, its called Redhill) CLICKY FOR DIRECTIONS!!! As stated above nice large car park (maybe 80cars) and is 1minute of the M6 or A34! Sound Good Scotty?
  6. I have 2 of these in SLI and there isnt a game i have that i dont play on the MAX!!!! SLI for the win!!!
  7. it will be a mass of rust under the arches... oh wait that was the last car rofl!! Flash test is easy CLICK ME Good Luck and Happy Days
  8. i think when it is finished it will look better than it does now but not for me! I would scrap it and carbon fibre something that is useful and take advantage of a weight saving opportunity! Not to doll things up :) Function over form FTW :)
  9. always up for a meet, got a holiday next week but hey if its in Stafford im up for it! Their is a nice Brewers Fayre 1mile off Junction 14 on the M6 (. Nice large car park and a sweet little 0.5 Duel carrigeway next to it off the m6 (could make for some nice sounds) Im Game :)
  10. This figure seems to me to be inaccurate. Most rolling roads with Zed's all tend to pump out the same sort of figures for people with the same Setup (Chip, exhuast and air filter) and we all hit around 330bhp (My retest with no adjustments showed 343.3) so we can estimate that realistically you will achieve more like 340-350hp with the 'traditional' setup. 400bhp will require far more work involved. 313 isnt bad at all by all mean (i have 30bhp more and we have almost identical torque, then again i have a manual which will probably result in the difference in torque) Also bear in mind if you want upped performance, reducing weight is free and improves performance. Although the pub talk bhp figure isnt higher your Power to weight will be which is what really counts!
  11. i will ask my boss if i can do mine on Thurs! Will keep you all posted :)
  12. Why does the Clio have a Turbo Gauge?? WTF Will it do??? ROFL! Ahem this Voids Insurance :) Expains it all then ROFL
  13. CLICKY LINK! Torrent of it, took me about 15mins to get it. I really like this film its very smart! Plus the Judge got f**ked up in an awesome way :) Enjoy!
  14. LINK! How about these, although will cost you an arm and a leg!
  15. This would be my choice! The De Tomaso Pantera GT5 S! In stock form :) Yummy! 400hp N/A V8 :) Or The Lotus Esprit V8 Twin Turbo Enjoy
  16. Is that positive camber on the rear? Or just a funny angle?
  17. well jimmy that puts a stop on my hunt for some 911 discs :P i could just make some sort of alloy spacer to weld to the existing disc. re-drill some new pcd holes and away i go! will ask a few guys i know what they reckon. Rear will be left for the moment (Holiday in like 6weeks) so im lucky to afford these brakes (if i get them) but the it will be the same setup (Cayenne 4pot calipers and their stock rear discs which are 330x28) which are the same size discs of the d2 front brake kit for the Zeds LOL!
  18. well im thinking of going with a Porsche Cayenne (Also VW Toureg and Audi Q7) setup as a set of 6pot callipers and discs are far cheaper than a set of d2 or K sport and they will be just as good (being brembo but im not one for judging due to brand names) Well i have been thinking about it and had a long think about it today and was thinking that if i machine out the centre bell (which is integrated) then make up a new bell which has the correct size bore and drill holes for the correct pcd fitment (as they are 5x130) but we were unsure hot to reattach this new bell to the existing disc (could it be welded on?) as the area around the bell is never used by the pads then i would have some monster discs. I can get a set of callipers (Great Cond.) for 300GBP and i can ask my boss to use the lathe to cut out the integrated bell. Or do i get he bell out then get one of thos custom floating bells and get that installed (although i dont think i can do that myself) Any ideas guys? How much would a set of floating discs be for 350mmx34mm discs P.s Thanks for the heads up on the bore size. i would have measured but its what i read (somewhere)
  19. Right o then folks, im upgrading my brakes soon and i have settled with something abit peculiar but when it all comes together it will be epic! Although the discs that i will get with the Calipers are going to have a centre diameter of 85mm where the Zed hub bore is only 73mm (IIRC) so they are going to be far too large :( Is there any way to get around this? i have looked at getting custom Disc bell but then the cost saving would be reduced considerably and would be a ball ache. PCD is no isue as i can drill new holes while retaining balence in the disc. Any thoughts are most welcome. by the way the discs will be 350mm x 34mm but that doesnt change anything :P
  20. When upgrading a car remember whats important. 1. It has to STOP! Brakes should always be primary upgrade (Zeds stocks are rubbish) 2. It should turn corners! Stock suspension is decent if all is well and working 3. POWER! Go nuts. Upping boost is a good and easy start but also remember reducing weight improves power, braking and handling... and costs nothing to take things out the car
  21. Camber wise you will want a small amount on the front (2degrees should be pukker) and the rears to be Flat (0degrees) As for Toe in and out! you want minor IN on the front and again Flat on the rears. for damper settings you will need to have the car weighed, corner weight and Cross weight to adjust settings and also ride height. (Ride height is critical for adjusting corner weights)
  22. i like the type 3 (Picture 3) i think it looks sweet! far more subtle
  23. if its the centre bore that doesnt fit on the hub, surely just take it to a maching shop to bore it out some more (if the Disc bore is too small)
  24. Brake cleaner! That stuff removes everything! Also Weazel is on the right track :)
  25. All our race cars i work on we torque the wheels to 60lbs which is pretty dam tight and i do my Zed to the same. if you dont have a torque wrench just go as tight as you can then slack it off a touch. Oil think its recommended every 3000-5000miles but its no hassel to do it yourself so do it as you please :) Think 3.5litres is the recommended for our cars on an Oil change so id imagine 1litre wont read then 2-4 will be the Low to High on the Dipstick but thats only a best guess. Staying As long as your on the grids your fine :)
