Odd mappping question
Whats on the table here? Obviously RPM on right, Ignition Advance on right, is that Throttle position on the bottom (0-80)? If so that looks like they forgot to map the rest lol! no light starts for that guy XD

O2 sensor readings...
They will be dead sensors then! If you unplug them they will go back to automatic settings which is why they don't adjust as technically they aren't reading anything (as not plugged in) and when it is plugged it as its dead it cant read anything anyway! 2 new 02 sensors on your buying list it would seem :)

Z32 tt carbon drift build
If you were to do Water injection wouldnt you prefer to have it on the boost pipes (Where some BOV's are found) or a close to the Fuel injectors as possible so it goes straight into the the compression chamber for maximum efficiency? Just water injection on its own will make a few horses and steam clean your engine internals but getting methanol in the mix will require hefty mapping and tuning in your AEM but as you have it (I think) go nuts!! All you need is a Water Injector (Power Washers) Measure the CC (blast water through it for 1min and measure how much has come out) a Reservoir (you can use a Window Washer bottle as this) abit of Pipework, switch and a Water pump and wire it into your ECU and Bobs your uncle you have protection at high boost and the ability to run MORE boost without DET w00t w00t!

V-Power...
Differences will most likely be un-noticeable apart from to your wallet! In theory a higher octane fuel should burn producing a few extra horses but if its a normal road car you will most likely not feel any different

miles per gallon
When i did my trip through Europe we had Targa's off, 3 people and a full boot and sitting around 80 average we were on 26-28mpg. My record ever was 31mpg :) You should be able to hit 450miles to a tank! No sweat, so that should help you budget! Thats in a Twin Turbo too if it helps :) Quick Bit of Maths for you! Call it 450miles to 1 tank! Around 70litres in the tank (You have more buts its the low low reserve) This Equals 6.43miles to the Litre! 6.43 x 4.54(Ltr to Gallons) = 29.2 MPG SIMPLES :)

Z32 tt carbon drift build
always wondered about the CF rear hatch but remember about weight distribution (especially for track use) Zeds are front heavy to begin with so by reducing the rear even more may upset the balance! Ballets in the boot will help or simple ride height changes to each corner can make huge differences! Suspension is so vitally important on track cars! But very impressed here being a Motorsport Engineer in the making i love the build and jealous i dont have the funding to follow you :)

Happy Birthday Munny975

Performance issue.
Unsprung weight will be much higher so yes you will be slower! Imagine putting super light 16inch wheels on you would feel the difference :) Weight is key

Anyone know anything about Triumph Dolomites?
I should have said really i know they suffer badly from rust which is why i am looking for one that has been made for Hillclimbing as they need to have a 100% solid shell and the engine may have taken a beating but its always cheaper to fix cars engine that fix bodywork! So i feel a hillclimb one would be best to eliminate the rust issue and just do what i can with the engine or pay for services! Id fancy a mk2 escort but i like to have a something different and i just really like the look of the little dolomites :) In my eyes this is sex Thanks for the input so far guys :)

Anyone know anything about Triumph Dolomites?
Anyone know anything about Triumph Dolomites? This is my Question to you! I have had my 300 a long time now (3years this month) and i am getting abit bored of it now i must say! Parts are stupidly expensive and i find i can only do normal mechanical tasks whereas on our cars at work i have the confidence to do more and more (rebuilt an engine and changing gearboxes which seems to becoming an almost weekly thing) I feel i will be selling up soon once i get round to touching up the interior and getting its new mot this week. So i have been on the prowl so to speak for a groovy RWD car with a budget of MAX 3k (although im certain i can get 3500+ for mine) and i just fell in love with the Dolomite Sprints and feel i will have no issues using all my mechanical skills on that car to make it amazing! So i was wondering on your thoughts and if you have any useful info on those cars (Or any good ones you know for sale)please feel free to share :) Many thanks Munny

Will a Z fail an MOT if...
If there is no seats you cant use them so you dont need seatbelts in the back :) (How i passed an old mot with old car with broken rear seatbelt) Door trims are fine unless sharp edges as hazardous (Could be wrong but is illegal on our race cars)

Hicas & abs lights on
i had this a while ago go to the Big fuse box in the engine bay at lower left and ill tell you which one it is IIRC its the ENG CONT fuse Just a small 10amp fuse and it had wiggled out but this might not be your solution but who knows! Just replace or wiggle it in place :) It could well be this :) Also do your Electric windows not work??? I think this was another symptom i had when this problem arose Also to the other comments it the PAS fluid was low his ABS wouldn't pop up as well

Engine wont start
id put my money on the CAS! as fuel is coming in but if its not getting a signal from the crank it will never fire :) Wiggle the plug and clean out if necessary and Fire the car up :)
-
Small/Major?? prob, PLEASE HELP!!
have a peek at the CAS (Crank Angle sensor) it is a little plug on the right hand side of the cam cover underneath the boost pipe and just make sure it is in all the way as its happened to me before i have given it a bit of beans and it wiggled itself about 1mm off and engine cut out and wouldn't start to i figured it out :)

Fitting some new bits
I just used a sandwich plate easy peasy and room for another 2 sensors if need be! Or you can get one of those sump nuts that has a hole in it to screw sensors in but i didn't want a sensor sticking out the bottom of the car as if it gets smashed off by a speed bump you are counting the moments before you start loosing oil :)
-
Whats the limit for engine temp ?
when i hit track i think the highest water temp i hit was around 90 so plenty of lee way from its boiling point :) Oil temp now thats a different story!!! On track i lasted about 10mins before my oil was sitting at 115 so i had to pull in mighty quick!!!
