  1. Indeed I am - is the one in the original post a blue key then? I would have thought it was silver not blue. I'd want one identical to that tbh...with the red text, etc... Thanks for the link though
  2. how do I get in touch with Aruba Dave? Just through FB?
  3. If he hasn't informed his insurance yet you may be able to convince him to settle - probably get more out of him for that and just get him to pay for all the repairs. If he has informed his insurance already then you'll have to go through his insurance but they will not want to agree a value with you and will likely offer you the minimum. You may end up having to enlist the help of your own insurer to battle it out with them. Similar happened to me and it took 15mths and going to court to get them to finally concede it was 100% their fault! If I didn't have my insurer working on it I would have had to fight it all myself which would have been a massive headache and expense to me.
  4. Thanks again for the comments guys. I saw the NI thread before I went though I was sorely disappointed at not seeing many nice cars out there at all. I'm convinced they only congregate at meets out of town as I was downtown in each City I visited and actively kept my eyes and ears open for sightings of them! The photos I've posted here don't do Japan any justice - one of the nicest places I've visited and the people are the most honourable and friendly I've ever met. A real pleasure to interact with them!
  5. Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like! Si - that's awesome!!
  6. I've finally managed to process some of my pics I took in Japan in early July...thought I'd share a few that I think came out quite nicely. I'm no pro and my camera sensor has dust on it (annoying!) so excuse the imperfections!
  7. Done! First thing I'll do as soon as I get those 99specs!!
  8. Well I'm definitely interested so let me know once you decide a fee. Of course I do still need to purchase the 99specs but hopefully Santa will be good to me this year! lol
  9. Can't believe I've only just seen this! Am I right in thinking that you're offering to do these then? Near the top of my shopping list is a full set of 99 rears but I have always wanted the rear panel to light up red! How much are we talking to get a genuine 99spec modded to light up??
  10. Actually found Jeff's thread soon after posting that....sod's law! I guess it might be better to try this sort of work in warmer weather as I've read that the sealant doesn't bond as easily/well in cold temperatures?
  11. Is there a write up out there that guides through how to replace all the rubber trims (around doors, targas, etc)? Including what products to use to best remove and then set the new ones in place? I've tried searching but can't seem to find one. My Zed leaks quite a bit, mostly from the door windows/targas but I've got replacement rubbers all around so wanted to know if it's a job I can do to a good standard of if it's better to leave it with a professional to do. Thanks
  12. Not sure if this has been posted before... Hopefully the link works... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151745388762972&comment_id=27281605&notif_t=comment_mention If not...FAIL. lol
  13. In the pic I attached, my end cap is the rear of the driver side targa. So if all end caps are the same, how come the replacement is larger? If they are mismatched, surely it could only be the same size or smaller? Confusing. Though I didn't actually check it with the passenger side so I'll do that this weekend... Probably is just me being dumb! Lol.. thanks for all the replies! And cheers for the offer Si...I'll try and pop these on but may see what yours are like too when I pop over if that's ok. EDIT: It is me being slow. The targa was upside down so my cap is for the front, not the back. Lol...it was the end of a loooong day when I was doing this! haha
  14. Was there a difference in targa end caps between models? Mine are in pretty bad shape so I was intending to replace them with some I picked up (not sure what model they are from) but they seem to be a different size by quite a bit! My car is a 1990 UK Auto. Not sure what model the donor car was though.....mine are the ones on top.
  15. I've been a couple of times Si and as has been said, everything you'd want to see is within walking distance though the tube and buses are pretty good. My golden tip though, and it's one that I use in every city I go to if I can, is to get yourself a hop on/off bus ticket. They have maps of all the key tourist sights and will take you to all of them. Divide up the routes into 2 sections (for 2 days) and jump on board. They have audio guides so you learn a lot about the city, especially in Rome, as you drive around between sights and you can jump off for the ones you want to see close up. Plus once you have the pass you can use the buses as a taxi service throughout the day. Perfect. For the 3rd day, head to the Vatican - and yes, I'd suggest blocking out a good 5hrs at least for the place. People always underestimate how much there is to see there - it's not just the front facade you see on pictures! The art galleries, the crypts, climbing up into the dome, the inside of the chapel itself, etc...best part of a day with all the queuing inside too. And if you haven't bought tickets beforehand (which you don't really have to), just make sure you get there early. I've stayed right next to the Trevi as well as next to Termini. Trevi was better as Termini attracts the not so nice sorts - watch out for pickpockets but to be fair, I think you'll be fine. I had no issues whatsoever. I always find my room on http://www.laterooms.com - they have everything from hostels to apartments and I almost always get an absolute gem on there for peanuts. The last time I was in Rome was for 3days to celebrate New Years 2011/12..great place but in my opinion, one of the worst nightlife scenes I've ever come across. But largely because their cafe culture is just not my thing for a night out! HTH EDIT: Forgot to add, don't bother with the guided tours except for the Colosseum and Forum. You'll have people approach you at the Colosseum and offer a joint tour - take it. I did it both times I went and it's worth the money. Otherwise you're just wondering around aimlessly staring blankly at rocks.
  16. You'd think so! They only have one that I can find and it's only in white. As a last resort I could try painting it but would rather not...
  17. Anyone happen to know where I might be able to get one? I've really settled on getting one for my bedroom in a gloss black finish but can't find one anywhere. Homebase used to sell one but doesn't look like they do anymore - http://reviews.homebase.co.uk/1494-en_gb/499992/reviews.htm Figured I'd ask on here..just in case...
  18. Agreed. I just got off the phone with them trying to resolve my issue so a little raw from that is all... Can never really call it with insurance though. I was with Elephant previously for 8yrs and they didn't put a foot wrong but didn't offer agreed valuation or parts cover.
  19. Steer clear of Sky Insurance!
