  2. I've come in massively late on this by the looks of things but I'll be joining too. From what I have read so far it might be easier/cheaper to buy beforehand and print tickets off which is good... .but... .....I'll be driving down from Croydon/S London. Who else is going from here? Is there a convoy already planned? M mate in his 350z may also join. Would be good to get a few of us. Also, I assume I've missed the boat with regards to getting on any stands?

  4. Checked oil level - it's good and oil still a nice dark colour. Was last changed at MOT in Jan 2013 but the car has done limited mileage since then covering approx 3k in 2013 and not much at all in 2014 as it's been off the road with clutch problems. I'm thinking to add some additive though as has been said in a few of the posts I've come across in case it is the lifters. The tapping is definitely there at cold idle (I checked this morning) and they get louder with revs. I'm not sure if it stops past 5k revs or whether the noise of the engine/road drowns it out but I could hear it on the motorway when at 50mph and below. Above that I couldn't tell. I think it's gotten louder since the drive last night as last week when the video was taken it wasn't as audible. It's definitely there when the engine is warm too though. Can't be the O2 sensors disconnected as I changed the passenger side last weekend and ran Conzult after to check and both were showing up. Haven't touched the engine after that. Plus the two connectors I see are both female and one has been taped off. I can't find the male connector back there at all...??
  5. Hi All I know this topic has been covered and I've read as many of the old threads as possible but I'm still a bit stuck. I have a tapping noise that is present all the time from start (cold) to warm and appears to be at all rev ranges. It's not really that audible when the bonnet is closed but I noticed on the motorway last night that it has become very loud indeed. Especially audible during those 50mph average speed sections! I've read to check the VTC solenoids by unplugging them and to try additive to the oil and/or oil change altogether. The car is about due an oil change. However, I'm struggling to locate both VTC solenoid connections - I've only found one 2prong grey plug at the back of the plenum and unplugging that does nothing - where it the other one?? I also have a couple of unplugged connectors and I'm not sure what they are for - they certainly haven't been unplugged by me and I've not had any engine work done in a long time so don't think they're the cause. Unfortunately I'm at my folks place so can't do much but if it's determined to be critical (i.e. important to fix before I drive back to London tomorrow) then I'll take it to a local garage around here.   6. Looks like I've missed the boat but I have an OEM pillar trim with an Autometer SportComp Boost Gauge (up to 20psi). The gauge was attached to the trim so good if you don't want to dasmage your existing trim. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?173261-Couple-of-bits
  7. Selling my tail lights and centre panel. All in used but good (IMO) condition. Have had a DIY clear lens conversion. Negatives: 1) right unit bottom left corner has lost colour due to time spent in oven (during lens conversion!) 2) right unit bulb holder melted slightly - bulb held in place with tape. Doesn't affect running whatsoever and it's an area that will never be seen Otherwise just the usual surface marks but nothing major See pics for an idea of how they look Looking for £20 plus postage

  9. I didn't see any Riviera boat tails but there were certainly a couple of Chevelle 454s there! It was actually a cracking day out. I forgot to mention they had Nascar racing (Euro Series) and Monster truck demos too!

  11. Looking to book onto the trackday at Brands Hatch on 23 July. 1. Anyone up for joining? 2. Research suggests most people don't get trackday insurance when they go on the track - is it advisable? The bike is only £1800 but I guess it's definitely worth it for personal injury but there just don't seem to be many providers out there. Any I find include it with their comprehensive road covers but not as an add-on

  13. I have rattles but it's the exhaust against the rear valance and the rear bumper itself where the fitting is slightly loose against the body. Rattles around the 2k rpm and disappears after approx 2.5k rpm

  18. Has anyone mounted their front washers on the underside of the hood? How did you do it? Mine were previously mounted in the scuttle panels but with the replacement of the old trim they moved to the wiper arms but I've since changed the wipers and the fitment doesn't work anymore. I don't want to mount them on my hood so looking for alternative options...
  19. Quick search on their website didn't yield any results - do you have any links? I've reserved the S4 that Daffy linked above so having it collected later this morning.
  20. The battery doesn't have the code on but found the paperwork from the order and it has 088 which I believe is interchangeable with 068 (and 030??). That Eurocarparts looks similar to what I paid previously though the site suggests an 031 for the 300zx. Odd. As I can't get the car started to even run the multimeter I think I'll just go for this. Thanks for the help!
  21. I don't I'm afraid... Just found my receipt for the last one though dated Dec '08. Should be lasting much longer than 5yrs though! Any other parts involved in charging that are likely to fail by the car just sitting for a few months??
