  1. What's that Andrew? You have a spare seat and you'd love for me to ride along with you?? ?
  2. The Goodwood Breakfast Club is hosting the 90s on 7 November. Seems like the perfect opportunity to show the Z32s off (weather permitting!). I'm not sure if I'm able to go yet but thought it would be of interest to the others on here. I took my old Zed about 12yrs ago and even managed to park the car on the start/finish straight where it go a lot of attention! Was an early but fun morning out and I'd be keen on going again. https://www.goodwood.com/motorsport/breakfast-club/
  3. Was a nice day out. Not as big / busy as I was expecting / was advertised but still enjoyable. Great to see so many lovely examples of the Z32 on our club stand. I wasn't able to chat to all the owners but was nice to see some old faces. Hopefully I can join you all again for next year!
  4. Happy to be attending this year! Will be great to reconnect with the club ?
  5. As hard as I tried! I quickly came to realise that it's the driving experience and not the price tag / badge on the car that brought me most pleasure. Shame it took this long but glad I've realised it now.
  6. Thanks Andrew! Will give them a buzz too. Hope the fact it'll be imported won't be an issue (premium).
  7. I already found my Zed! ? It's on the way to holding before hopping a ferry over here. I expect it'll be almost Christmas by the time it arrives here...just in time to go into storage! ?
  8. Thanks! Not heard of Grove & Dean before, will check them out Unfortunately not! Had that for 18mths and then sold. Replaced with a E91 335i MSport when baby #1 arrived which was then replaced by a Range Rover TDV8 when baby #2 arrived! Hence the itch to get back to something a little more sporty ?
  9. Hello everyone! I've been lurking on here every now and then since selling up in 2016 but I've really been feeling the itch to get back in a 300zx for the last couple of years. I've been watching the markets for the 'right' one for the past year and not much has come up that got me very excited. I do have a question for which I tried searching the forum and couldn't find an answer....is anyone able to recommend insurers/brokers for Jap imports? ? Of course I google searched also but anyone with a positive experience of any would be good to know!
  10. Looks like a great day with lots of cars to see! Shame about the weather though ?
  11. Thanks for the heads up! Annoyingly, I've already gone and made alternative plans Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  12. Well that was short lived! Serves me right for sitting on it for the past few weeks! Thanks for the heads up [emoji3526] Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  13. Hey all I couldn't find a thread for this event surprisingly so thought I'd create one. Is anyone already registered as going? Will there be a club stand this year? I'm still Zedless but quite keen to attend. My last meet with my old 300zx was the same event in 2016 and I remember it fondly! Would be great to see some of the current club stock! 14. As above, brand new in box. Never used. £5 plus postage. Size: M8 x 1.25 (25pc)
  15. As above, have 5 brand new plugs in boxes. Were bought as spares when I had the Zed and never used. £20 plus postage
  16. Thanks for the kind posts all. Though Zedless I may drop in from time to time to see what's what. The Jag has been fantastic so far and I'm really enjoying driving it! As for the thread, happy to leave it as is and not censoring it. I won't comment on specifics but my own view has always been that though this is a forum platform, its primary purpose is to support and sustain a community of enthusiasts which doesn't always align with people firing off comments as they think of them. All the best to the club though!
  17. After a few months of waiting (and hoping) the Zed has finally sold! So with that the time has come to bid my farewell to the club and scene after almost 10yrs. I'd like to say an absolutely massive thanks to everyone on here who has, over the years, offered up help and advice with all the issues that come with the territory of owning one of these fantastic cars. Without you I would have thrown in the towel much sooner and without ever having had the chance to experience the joys of owning and driving the 300zx. This car has taught me so much and has given me some exceptional experiences and some exceptional friends. I wish you all the best and the club a successful future! A note on the value of these cars - mine sold for not far off asking price. Whether this means the value of these cars is increasing or not, I couldn't say but what I have noticed through my own experience of selling it is that despite the very frequent discussion on here of "why aren't our cars considered more valuable?" there are many in the club (often those who shout loudest on the aforementioned discussions) who are quick to rubbish or find fault with ads which dare ask for price that is more reasonable! My personal opinion is that unless you are actively in the market of trading these cars (and so have current specialist knowledge on their market value) or are being constructive in your comments, keep them to yourself. You are doing neither the seller nor the club/scene any service. And on that merry note (and with a few pics for attention the new ride), I bid you all farewell!!
  18. After almost 9yrs of ownership and unparalleled enjoyment of my Zed, I’m finally calling time. It wasn’t an easy decision but I feel the time is right to let someone else take it on and enjoy it as much as I have. I’ve learned a hell of a lot during my time with it and have numerous friends and stories as a result of owning it. This is one of the original SE Nissan 300zx’s and even featured in their parts catalogue (scanned copies provided with sale). The car has also appeared in a Max Power DVD as a feature car (‘Max Power: Hardcore Tarmac Terrorists’) whilst owned by a previous owner. The car is in very good mechanical condition with Jimmer at PowerZed giving it the all clear following a visual inspection and a check on ConZult. All mechanical work worth mention has been completed by PowerZed. All bodywork since I’ve owned it has been carried out by Custom Exotics. A lot of money and time has been spent on the car, some details below with more available on request. I have full records of all work carried out with all receipts, etc. The car has been mapped on a dyno and has a proven 547fwhp at 19psi with 508ft lbs. I’ve listed as much as I can below. More details are available on request. MOT valid til 25 Jan 2017 Tax is no longer transferrable - new owner will need to tax to drive away Mileage 149k miles (full engine rebuild at 132k miles) Engine - PowerZed Build done at approx 132k miles so new engine has only covered 17k miles 87.5 Wiseco pistons Cometic head gaskets ACL crank bearings Z1 GT535r hybrid turbos and divorces downpipes Nismo 555c injectors NGK Platinum spark plugs AMS High Flow cast exhaust manifolds New Rhd EFI engine loom Plenum stripped and painted in Dark Candy Apple Red …more details available on request Red Autobahn88 siicone intake hoses Blitz DSBC Boost Controller SE stainless steel exhaust system Series 2 PTU K&N Hi-Flow Air Filter PACE Side-mount intercoolers & silicone hoses Aluminium lower radiator hose Custom Osty aluminium with CF effect slam panels - 3pc Duracell DA70 Advanced car battery Drivetrain & Cooling Automatic to Manual conversion at same time as engine rebuilt (132k miles) RPS Max Street Clutch ( Z1 Lightened Flywheel Suspension MeisterR Zeta-R Coilovers Driftworks HICAS Elimination Cyberspeeds Front & Rear Camber Arms Cyberspeeds Rear Traction Rods Cyberspeeds Front Tension Rod Stillen front and rear sway bars Brakes & Wheels R33 Brembo front and rear brake caliper upgrade - custom red with black lettering EBC Red Stuff brake pads Front SE AP 330mm brake disc upgrade Stainless steel braided brake hoses 18” Antera 143 alloy wheels Pirelli P-Zero tyres on rear ( Continental ContiSport Contact 3 tyres on front H&R 15mm spacers on rear Bodywork Silvia Engineering bodykit consisting of SE Monza nose cone, SE Monza front bumper, SE Monza rear bumper, SE Monza vented bonnet abd SE Monza rear wing Silvia Engineering custom brake ducting from under front bumper to front brakes Car.Mad sideskirts Sidelights relocated and custom Car.Mad fog light ducts fitted 99 Spec Rear Light conversion Smoked side indicators Front headlight inserts painted chrome black Roof bars and wing mirror plates painted gloss black S2 electric folding & heated wing mirrors Full body underseal Security Toad Ai606i Interactive Alarm & Immobiliser Interior LED dash and pod conversion S2 heater pod and ECU Option gauges and 3-gauge pillar pod - Oil pressure, Water Temp, Boost Series 2 grey alcantara door and console trims (replacing original Series 1 grey tweed) SkinZ sound deadening of doors and under rear bench ICE Install - note that this is incomplete Already fitted and included in the sale: Infinity Kappa 60.2cs speakers x 2 fitting in custom tweeter housings Infinity Kappa 652.1cs speakers x 2 fitted in front doors (6.5") Infinity Kappa 52.1i speakers x 2 fitted in rear (5.25") Sony XM-C2000 Stereo Power Amplifier - fitted in custom box in boot underfloor Custom fasica panel to house 7" android tablet High quality cabling and fuses used throughout I was intending on installing a 7” Android tablet connected to a usb hub for a myriad of applications. I have all the component parts and am happy to include them all in the sale (exc the tablet) with my plans on how to complete if the buyer is interested in finishing this off themselves I also have the sub to go with the setup - this will need a sub box. Sub is not currently included in the sale but happy to discuss if it’s of interest. Infinity Kappa 100.1se subwoofer (10") Other Parts Original car jack, wrench and chocks in the original mouldings Original targa bags Spare Parts Also included in the sale but not currently fitted: AMS short shifter kit Full lock set with replica titanium keys Titanium dash rings Spare drivers side targa panel Lots of spare OEM screws, clips and 1 x uncut replica titanium key 2 x uncut spare metal keys (valet) Several SKinZ sound deadening panels Spare Exide EA755 car battery I’m sure there are other bits and pieces which will surface as I start clearing out which I will include in the sale as well Bad points With full disclosure in mind, the following points are the ones that I am currently aware of. None are insurmountable but worth mentioning: Although the seats are original and date back to 1990 they are in a reasonably good condition and are still quite supportive. The exception to this is the driver’s side bolster which has a large hole in it through which the frame is showing. Should be a fairly straightforward part to switch out with a good condition spare/breaker The fibreglass bodywork has a few areas that need attention - this is largely from grounding on raised surfaces (speed bumps etc) The aftermarket oil pressure gauge is not working - this is likely just down to the aftermarket sender having failed. The stock gauge functions correctly The passenger side window needs adjusting so that it sits more flush with the targa rubber. At the moment it can let in some water in a downpour however I keep the car garaged and rarely drive it in the rain so it hasn’t been a priority for me Think that about covers it. I'd love for it to go to someone from the club who will pick up where I've left of and keep it going for years to come. Any questions, please ask / PM me.
  19. I did video both runs, yes. Will confirm first 1/8 later as need to grab the paper. Launch felt fine actually, very grippy and didn't spin much. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  20. Yep, first time doing it and that time was my first run! I'll certainly be back for more!
  21. Only went twice - managed 14.4 on one of them @ 103mph. I was there with a bunch of other mates, mostly in BMWs and Merc but did have an R8 and two Astons.
  22. Yep, that was me. Did two runs late afternoon as arrived quite late.
  23. Well if you can find cheaper, I'm all ears (and eyes)! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
