Now Thats an idea! There was some round plastic pin/stud on my drivers mat yesterday. Picked it up looked at it & threw it out:ohmy: did not think it was anything so maybe that! Be home in an hour! Cheers all. If not that I will still take it back to SAV & yes that is the MOT station too:)

I think they must have done something with the wiring too! Running it up there later. Driving without number plates is abit weird but if stopped Ill show the bill my MOT fail, my pass certificate is with DVA. As im booked in apparently legal?

Correct! Sorry my details are bad! But yes u absolutely Right! My rear lights & nothing else! even ignition off! Me thinks they must have cut a wire but how?:confused: It was a good comination to see my front fogs blue then the offside front fog turn white when I put the side lights on:D

Everything worked as it should before! (Except blue front fogs.) F/fogs on with switch, both blue fogs on, then switch side lights on & offside blue fog turned white! So SVA have said they have change front fogs to white but not sure how or what they have done cos off side is 4x brighter than nearside fog? Did not know that back lights were on all the time. So I parked up having collected car from SVA on Monday. Thats the only electrical component that had to be done for MOT. Rear fog has seperate feed. The rear lights are my side lights but will check all combinations. Thanks for advice.

MONDAY, Collected my import from garage (SVA) after doing work for MOT (passed!):dance: TUES, Parked Z up following day, Battery flat!:confused1: WED Recharged battery. THUR Reconnected battery to see why drain, Rear lights will not go off!!:( SVA Have replaced front foglight bulbs (because mine were BLUE) looked good but they said its illegal! Taking it back to them this afternoon for them to check.:rolleyes: Any ideas what has happened? Even on when ignition off! Electrics nightmare! Waiting for number from DVA. Hope soon on road.:clap:

Hi! Just read ur update on ur swb. Sounds it has had some good work on it. Mine is a LWB & I bought my z in Japan & shipped it over:w00t: It had blue front fogs! Looked cool but not legal:sad: Brakes only 48% so need looking at! also Hicas rods need replacing:huh: I did the clock KPH to MPH with the forum thread:dance: Just want it on the road now!! Sorry I missed this bit when I registered. I see the activity is as lively as it was when I was registered back in 2002! Well I kept my first z for 3 years & I have been z less since March this year:yes: I've imported it & at this moment it's (hopefully) being sorted for MOT, then registering with DVLA for plates & then onto road! I have just sent my subscription off to the club on Friday 27/06/14. First z was red & a UK one! This one is pearl white & Jap! I know & seen members comments about best colour of Z'ds! Thats not too bad! Got my Z booked in for MOT with SVA in Dover they import cars no Zs though! All I see in there are scuby's, skylines, honda's ect! Not sure what they will make of my Z! Self imported & arrived in Southampton 15th May (been on my drive since :sad:) Cant wait to get it on the road :thumbup:

Hi Guys! I need some specific advice, I have run a red single 5 amp cable from the front fog light switch to the off side reverse light. On removing the pod that holds the fog light switch there are 6-8 smaller wires in this plug! One thread says use 17 & 18? (That's two wires & I only have one!) Is 17 & 18 +tive & -tive? Therefore do I need to wire an earth from 17 or 18? What do I do? At the rear light there are two wires, Green & Black. I'm I right in that my Red wire will replace the Green (live) & leave the Black (earth) ? Do I need to get an inline fuse? Sorry it's long winded for what some theads on this matter makes it so easy! Ok, so do I run a wire from the reverse light to the fog light switch on my dash & earth it? Or do I have to put in another switch? Then change the bulb for a 21w red bulb.

Thanks for that, I also need to sort out a rear fog light & like the idea of utilising the inner brake lights good. I dont like the idea of an add on rear fog.

I have just purchased UK dails for my import which arrived in Southampton 15 May. It appears to be a good option? My requested help/advice is, do I need todo anything else? Just plug in the connectors? (KPH to MPH dials 180mph) Any help welcome Arthur

Help required! My Z is sitting somewhere in Southampton docks! (15th May) Hoegh Antwerp of Hoegh Autoliners AS was the ship & it docked in Southampton on the 15th May. I have the B/L, Commercial Invoice & Japanese Export Certificate. Also have a C 384 (Vessels) is this the right one? All I want to do is pay the Import Duty & VAT (how, where?) Go to the port & transport it home to then get work done for MOT & Register! Any Z member imported without a clearing agent? Any advice appreciated. Art
