  1. Don't worry Mark, for someone who didn't know it was already in place, it was a great idea :).
  2. I'm not sure what your exact set up is bu, If you are going to use both the AFM's and link up via an AFC then ignore the bit below. If you are using 2 AFM's but one is a dummy then you may want to think about putting an additional balance bar between the pipes that connect to the TB's. This will allow a smoother idle and low rps stability. Picture courtesy of lymon.
  3. I'm on as Stuart Waterman. Profile picture is me holding my little daughter
  4. If you are still hell bent on a 300zx N/A. There is a really nice one for sale in the for sale section. Speak to Gumball
  5. bugger paid about £220 for mine 3 years ago.
  6. Have you taken the wheels off to make sure the calipers have not come loose. Check for wear on the discs as well. Anything else been changed since ? May be worth getting this moved to help and advice for more visability.
  7. Glad to hear yourself and the little girl are ok. sorry to hear about the damage.
  8. Go to the shop and tell them you will save them postage and ask for the cheque there and then. IF not then trading standards.
  9. I didn't read anyone elses replyes so these answers may be duplicates. Sorry if they are. Ask in the traders section or wanted section of this forum, 2nd hand one is just a good, just make sure it's a nice stiff one :smw1: It sounds like the drivers side because that's the quickest way for the sound to get to you. 9/10 times it's the bonnet catch at the front center of the car. Wrap some insulation tape round the bar of the catch then add a little greese and it should go way. If you are talking about the titanium keys, I don’t think you can get these cut for your car. They are a limitied edition and very hard to get hold of. The only option you have is to find somone who is breaking a Z and ask if they have the titanium keys, if they do you will need to buy the keys, the door locks, the ignition barrel and the boot lock, so that your new keys fit all the locks, make sure to test that the one key fits all locks before you buy as it is quite common that people replace just one lock and not all as a set due to break in's etc. I would leave them in but you may want to either buy on eof the official polystyrene tool holders that should have come with the Z along with the little leather / plastic pouch, or you could always buy yourself a small bag or even wrap them in a cloth (I'm sure you'll need something to wipe your hands on after changin the tyre anyway ). The water pump should always be changed when you change the cambelt, it's a 5 min job once you have the front stripped off, but a couple of hours at least if you just want to change the water pump again. Your cambelt should be changed every 60k miles. The garage should not have removed the sticker so you will need to make a record of the mileage it stated so you know when to do your next one. I'm thinking that your Z is in km rather than miles, you can by a conversion kit from the zcenter.co.uk to change the speedo to MPH if you like. There's no real way to see when the cambelt was changed apart form service history documents, but then even these can be a little fraudy at times. If in any doubt get it changed again. A snapped cambelt = new engine £££, cambelt and pump change is about £400 - £600 or cheaper if you do it yourself. Looks like someone has already converted it from Km/h to mph, so ignore my comment after question 9. You can get a new mph speedo set from the wanted section or a trader who is breaking Z's. Easy to fit. You could even go with some after market dials of a different colour or indiglow ones, what ever your preference is. There are quite a few versions o the market you just need to search around a bit. PM Jay ;) PM steve ;) Get them sand blasted and then preped by a wheel specalist who can then powder coat them for you. Check http://www.zcenter.co.uk for most of the clear bits including the 99 specs. I personally got all my lighting from the states as there is a guy on the TT forum that makes the diamond clear stuff, these are crystal clear lenses. Just remember you will need amber bulbs for the indicators. This one ?. This will fit any Automatic 300zx regardless of where it was made. PM daves_zed as I'm sure he did a group buy on these a while back. They ar enot cheap mind you, you are looking at about £200 for one of these babies if I'm not mistaken.
  10. I love the front bumper, the bonnet is also passable. change the colour & wheels and take off all the other shit on the sides and back and it may get my vote.
  11. I doubt you'd even get up to 5mph in London between 2pm and 6pm on a week day :)
  12. Did make me chuckle although some of the members on there didn't feel the same :). Although very funny, I got a feeling that this thread will end the same as the one on Pistonheads :).
  13. LMAO. I'm still chuckling at the thought of the diagram he drew, lik ehe'd really thought it through !! :mac1:
  14. He would be right this time in my opinion. :nelson: A little customising and they may look quite nice, I guess they will look different depending on what rear bumper and side skirts you have on.
  15. Wow, even after a little knock I'm sure that the alloys are not supposed to crack like that on one spoke let alone two. If you ask me it looks like a bit of a flaw in the design or moulding of these alloys. I would advise you speak directly to the manufactor of the wheels and see if there is anything they can do for you to keep your mouth shut on the various car clubs on the internet that they make wheels for ;).
  16. There is no doubt that the bottle next of the 300zx engine is the pistons. However this is due to the age of the pistons. It's touch and go. Yes, some say that they can get 600bhp out of stock internals, others say they are only good for 400bhp until the landers on the pistons give in. I think it comes down to the fact that if you put brand new stock pistons in that have not been exposed to 15 years of hot/cold then you should be good for the higher BHP, keep 15 year old pistons in there and the lifespan at higher BHP is going to cause problems. For my car personally, I've changed the pistons to weisco forged, kept the same compression ratio, put 555cc's in, jwt tubs and upgraded everything possible with the cooling from all rad's, fan's, IC's etc. I'm not after the most I can get form the car, I just want the engine to be stronger and be able to take a beating when I do want to see what it an do. Most people upgrade internals to get more power, a few will upgrade for reliability.
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the intercoolers don't actually increase the BHP, they cool the air from the turbo's better allowing you to increase the boost a little more (as long as your fueling and intake allow). ECU - again this is about mapping and although it may help with BHP, it's only the the turbo's boost that will control how much additional power you will get. How much boost are you actually running on the standard turbo's ? The RWHP can be inceased without the flywheel HP being increase, by fitting lightweight pullies, lightweight flywheel and even a one piece carbon prop/driveshaft.
  18. I got one of these a month or so back. Played a few of the games. I'm wondering if/how you can play any of them against other people online. I've connected up to the Wii network via wi fi and get get the shopping channel, weather and news etc but not sure how I get to see other people. Is the only way to do it by adding their Wii number ?. If so anyone got one and want to link up ?. PM me your Wii number and I'll reply with mine.
  19. Thanks guys and girls. Mum's getting some sleep now and all is good. I'll post a few pics up in a month as suggested by saikoracer to see how she grows.

is this work safe beofre I open it. I just got nabbed looking at the "boobies gif when the dad walked in", I'd like to keep my job :)
  22. Someone recently PM'd me to enquire about my car. They currently own a standard Z and are thinking about upgrading, they wanted some suggestions. Here was my response...
  23. Yeah you can get them direct from them or from the Z center. http://www.zcenter.co.uk or even MJP check the traders section on here as I'm sure they will all be cheaper than nissan.
  24. There is no trick to taking them off without breaking. No matter how carful you are they are probably going to break. Years of heat and then cold and then heat makes the plastic more brille that a 90 year old with a zimmer frame. Buy 2 sets of pulsar ones (4 per set) which will fit, soldier them in place and you will be good for another 5 - 6 years.
  25. I broke my connector the first time I fitted the bloody things :). Vijay sent me another though, but haven't fitted it as the car has been off the raod since.
