I'm jealous, I was stuck in Taikoo Shing in Hong Kong for a year. The food was ok, but the smog always left this strange taste of sewage in your mouth :nelson:

Car Covers. Do the job or scratch the car??
Cant remember where I bought it, but a company does make a custom car cover for the Z, you can specify stock, SWB, LWB, high level spoiler etc. Think it cost me £105 about 3 years ago. Can't remember the company name though. A few other on here have one I'm sure.

Origins of the site
Ah the memories... Can anyone remember these events by the title ? "Beef Cake / Cup Cake" - Billing 2003. "Turners short's" Billing 2003. "When hippies attack" Billing 2004. "The Lake list" Billing 2002 - 2005. "Jonny Crew v Kash Clan" , Billing 2004. Still makes me smile everytime I think about it.

All the best steve, I'll be going through the same thing in October. Good luck to both of you, wishing Sarah a short and painless labour.

Strange dent
What's the location of the dents. If the shock mounts go you would get a nice little nipple looking dent above them, but then it's rare that they would go at the same time. Even more rare they would be so fooked that they would leave a dent. However you probably wouldn't notice they were fooked while stationary, it's only when you go over a speed ranp or bump in the road that they will hit the underside of the bonnet.

Martyn from Zen Garage
Steve, I understand your point, but I know there have been some difficulties that could not be helped. He has been very over worked and had other problems all out of his control. I can imagine that a one man garage will be quite time consuming and especially as I know Martyn will do every job 100%, so it's kinda understandable for me. I'd rather not turn this into a sl4gging off thread. I simply just wanted to hear form anyone who had heard from Martyn.

Martyn from Zen Garage
Well I took the engine out myself with help form a few guys on the forum, stripped it down myself, had it rebored to fit the new pistons. Balanced and blueprinted. The engine went to Zen Garage in bits to be put back together, so it was a basic engine rebuild with new Weisco pistons, new GD manifolds, new GD down pipes and flexi pipes, nismo 555cc injectors, jtw530bb turbo's. All pretty much bolt on bits along with HKS actuators. The car then went there for the engine bay to be put back together and the engine dropped back in. I know Martyn had far too much work on to meet estimates and has also had some personal problems so I'm not bothered too much about how long it has taken, just a little worried that no one had heard form him recently.

Martyn from Zen Garage
Thanks for the info mate, Getting a little stressed as it's just been going on and on, oringinal quote was 3 months, then was told that I will definately have it back by August (2006) then it dragged on and was then told March (2007) then Arpil then first week in May, then not heard anything or no calls have been returned for a while now. Makes me feel a little better knowing that my car has been with Zen garage since Feb 2006 but thee is progress, the end is nigh hopefully.

Is this telly any good? LG 42" plasma, £525.
You are better off going with the Samsung PS42Q97HD 42". This is HD ready and has much better res. Dixons have it for around £799, but if you knwo someone who has a trade membership to costco, you should be able to pick one up for £620. Not the best 42" you can get but it's the best value for money one out there at the moment.

Martyn from Zen Garage
For those of you with cars at the Zen Garage, can anyone let me know if you have heard from Martyn, has he changed his number. My car was supposed to be ready last week, but I haven't been able to get in touch with him. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck. Can those of you that have his number chuck me a pm, just in case I'm phoning the wrong number or something. Thanks

Custom builds
Try his rides section I think he has some more in there.

highest mileage?
Think mine was just short of 100k miles, going by the mot's. It was reset to MPH from KM 3 years ago so only reads 1,200 miles now. But I have all the paper work to show the true milage when i come to sell it.

Hi all I'm new to the site but not to Z's
lbs is a weight like kg, £ or GBP is a currency. don't worry though, you'll get the hang of it. Some of us have spend a fair few £'s on our motors. I think there are at least 4 - 5 of us that are over the £50,000 mark now. So we're just as crazy as your friends think you are, you'll fit in well here :)
