  1. The surnames on the ticket / passport have to be identical one letter wrong and your ticket it worthless. The first names and are not so important, but if they want to cause problems they can.
  2. I would highly reccommend pipecraft in basildon. (essex). http://homepage.ntlworld.com/susan.insole/?sfgdata=4| Without doubt the best custom exhaust place around. Had my 300zx exhaust custom built by them. 3" ss all the way through and 2 x dual chrome backboxes. This was done 4 years ago and to this day these isn't a single blemish on the exhaust !.
  3. 14 / 14.22 = 0.98km/cm2
  4. No idea to be honest.
  5. That's very nice but what's going on with those wheels ? Sort it out !!
  6. One of my favorite Z's, will be sad to see it go. All I have to say is that there are going to be some nice 300zx's up for grabs by the looks of it. Great time to buy if you don't own one already.
  7. I'm sitting pretty with 275's on the back with no rubbing and a 10" rim. I tried 285's and didn't get a rub the arch but on the inner tyre I was rubbing on something.
  8. I've been told it's 9mm (well 8.9mm to be exact).
  9. For some strange reason I have some 8mm fuel hose on my car at present. I've been informed by a reliable source that I need 9mm. Anyone got a good source online. I'm lazy and can't be bothered to do real shopping :)
  10. I think this goes against what smithy was saying. I know that I did 1/2 mile without the fan and blew a matrix pipe as the car overheated. But it may be an idea to keep it wire as you have but just adjust your temp that it come on and goes off at. you may have it set at too lower temp.
  11. elbow greese I'm afraid, you can't steam clean our engines. For metal use autosol and for the rest use a cloth with gunk or something similar. A set of small detailing brushes are very useful.

feel sorry for the one who decided to go frenchie :)
  13. not as much but 1,001,382 on first and only attempt.
  14. Yeah, agree with Mark, as you mentioned to me the common place for the drips are bwteen the top of the pannel and the bonnet and the bottom and the bumper. Will Try Jaffa's Flower pot trick for the headlight pannel (not to be confused with the ashspez flower pot over the filters).
  15. For the BBQ, I'll make it an open house, how's that :).
  16. £821 - single car policy but mirrored no claims bonus from my other car (5 years) All mods declared (that was a list of 125 non standard parts). Fully comp Like for like policy (i.e. if it gets smashed, it get replaced with idential broken items not stock parts). Agreed value at £15k Limited to 4k miles per year.
  17. I figured that if the viscous fan stops once the engine is switched off, then why have an electric fan that runs after the engine stops. I understand the idea and think it's good to have a thermostat that keeps it going until the engine cools down, but with our cars this can take a very long time. I took the simple solution of wiring my fan up to the ignition live. Therefore whenever the ignition is on the fan is running. I know this is not how it's meant to be but I was worried that the fan would be running for too long after and this would also then effect the alarm as it senses a voltage drop. So opted for the easier solution.
  18. very nice, I'll get one of those in a few months I think. does your daugther have enough leg room once the front seat is back in it's upright position ?
  19. try cleaning the connector to on the top water pipe that comes out of the front middle of the engine. The connector will be the black one, this goes to the dial. The yellow one goes to the ECU.
  20. 9mm high pressure SS covered here I come.
  21. fook me 68.9 for unleaded. those were the days :(
  22. What started as a Family type BBQ at Jaffa's turned into a leave the kids with wives and work on the car :). We got mine on Jaffa's drive to check the fuel pressure which should have been at 45 psi. Mine was sitting just below 20 psi :o. Using the adjustable fpr we got this up to 45psi. Then adjusted the tps from 0.64v to 0.44v and idle rpm down from 1300 rpm to 825rpm. Took it for a test drive and it feels much better, no need to heal toe anymore when chaning down a gear while breaking. It also idles nice and smooth now. Overall it drives very nicely now and has some very nice pull low down in the rev range. Big thanks for Mark for doing all the changes required, while I just watched smoking a cigarette while Mark was getting cover in petrol :). Big tanks for James for the use of the driveway/tools and overall great BBQ. Once I've got the decking done, I'll sort out a 300zx BBQ at my place.
