Dual pop flower pot set up ?
I've heard that the HKS disintergrate and stick to the MAF or is that only the mushrooms ?

Coolant leak top back of plenum.
Little tips when changing them. Get a little foot stool by the side of the drivers wing (the backs of your legs will kill you the next day otherwise). Cut the old ones off :) saves time. Be careful not to loose the clips. Put the bottom of the new one(s) on first nice and tight then worry about the top.

A-pillar pod fitment
I velcro'd the top of mine. But for some reason after it rains and I put my foot down, water comes out of the center pod lmao !!. Gotta replace my targa seals :)

Coolant leak top back of plenum.
Heater matrix pipes maybe. Had this on mine last month. They tend to split under pressure. It probably started as a pin hole and then turned into a little gash, They will start to steam water out of the hole until it expands then it will drop your coolant over the floor. Usually only happens when the car is hot and the engine is switched off. The hoses themselves are £15 each from Mike Feeney but take a little time to replace as you need to get your hands down the back of the engine. Did both of mine in 4 hours.

Dual pop flower pot set up ?
Anyne got dual pop ? If so what filters you running. I've been reading up on ways to resolve low rev turbulance and hard braking decelleration stalling. which apparently is caused by the ram air into the induction. This is usually the case when the twin pop takes the air head on from the inlets of the front bumper. Pictures and write up complements of ashspecz. http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg...cal&dtSearch=3 Some say it works others say it doesn't. I may give it a try as it's only £10 worth of flower pots and plastic paint. Then ifthis doesn't sort it I'll go with an additional balance bar between the TB pipes, which is obviously much more expensive and a longer job. An other suggestions, I keep hearing about this low rev kit but can't find any info on it.

In need of Help?
It may be a case of trial and error. I think the best thing to do would be to find someone in your area as suggested above. If you can find someone with a conzult it's even better. The ECU tests are good to point if something has failed, but the conzult will show you when something is not as it should be. If you can get a conzult check the O2 sensors to make sure they are reading correctly. Then if no joy found on the conzult find a friend with the a 300zx TT and start by swapping over one thing at a time and test driving. 1) the MAF (air intake sensor). 2) tps (thottle position sensor) 3) temp sensor etc. etc. For the power below 3500 rpm my money is on O2 sensors or air intake problem. The whistle, well that could well be turbo related, i.e. kink in the oil feed, slight boost leak from the piping or a number of things.

1/4 mile, BHP & Track leaderboards
I was thinking about putting together a 1/4 , BHP and track leaderboards. I used to mod the dyno section of this forum, but let it slip 3 years ago when my car went off the road for much longer period of time that I thought it would. Since then the section is a little messy and I though tit would be good to put a few things back in the lime light. After all the 300zx is a performance car so lets see how well we can get it to perfrom. Obviously there's always going to be a grey area around timings, what dyno was used etc, but if people try not to take it too seriously and not b|tch about other people too much then it should be a nice to have. The main area of argument is going to be the dyno leaderboards, where every dyno will give a slightly different reading. But as I said if we keep it a little light hearted and not complain about it too much it should work out well. I've put together a list of the 1/4 times that I've sourced so far. There are some missing and some of these may be a little out of date (I know Jaffa ran a 12.5 or better at santa pod, but can't find the details), so if you want to let me know what your 1/4 mile times are then I can put something together. Don't worry about BHP and track times just yet as I'll sort that out later. The stats I have so far are as follows: Andyduff 12.72 @ 120 Black slag 12.79 @ 110 Rob B 12.88 @ 115 Chunk 13.04 @ 108 Paul300zx 13.15 @ 113 Ed davies 13.21 @ 109 John Dixon 13.3 @ 106 Pete Shrimp 13.32 @ 108 Jaffa 13.36 @ 103 JD'S Z 13.5 @ 105 SMW1 13.53 @ 107 Alex C 13.7 @ 106 JonJon 13.8 @ 105 Shrek 13.9 @ 106 Tattooman 13.9 @ 103 Slick Pete 14.57 @ 94 Tulip 14.68 @ 97 JimJitsu 14.72 @ 92 Let me know what your times are even if they suck. It will be good to have a post from each of you with times at a later date saying I've broken my best time by .5 second, please update the leaderboard. Makes an interesting sideline for the club. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=113508

The price of a good standard Z these days is around the 3 - 4 k mark. You can pick some sheds up for less than that, but the money it will cost for you to put it right is going to be a lot more than 3 - 4 k in the long run. Take your time, have a look at a few of them. Search the for sale sections here. One of the advantages about buying from someone on this site is you can look through all thier previous posts and see what the car has done, it's almost like an automatic service history. Also 9 / 10 times, if the previous own was a member here, you know its going to have been well looked after.

Who'd be interested in a Surrey Rolling Road dyno day?
I have a Blitz SBC-id so probably won't be a great deal of help. however, I'm happy to assist you in anyway I can.

lightweight pullywheel
Yup easy to do, does take a little while though as you need to take the front of the engine off. It's a good time to polish those water pipes, and paint the cam covers as well though :) You are going to need new belts though. It may be worth doing your cambelt while you have access to it as well. Depends how long ago yours was done. Also replace the water pump while you are there.

Anyone who's installed ICE
If you can't seem to find the angle to get the wire into the engine bay, Jack the car up take off the passenger wheel and arch liner and you'll have a much easier job.
