  3. Jonce and Darkside. I've jsut looked through the list and it looks like you put your names down before Jimmy, do you still need this if so we'll put your name in the list. Can someone advise where to buy this form as I may get another one on the go. I really need to sort mine out rapid, my gauge pods are filling up with water lol.
  4. This is what I have on mine. It has a great feel to it and I have no issues with it at all. Well recommended.
  5. Haven't read the papaers today and only just seen this. I was wondering why the office was a little quiet today. I work for Santander Bank in thier London Head Office (One of the biggest spanish bank with all thier staff going home to Madrid at the weekends). RIP, thoughts are with thier friends and families.
  6. Who's got this at the moment as I'm getting dripped on constantly even after it's stopped raining :(. 1. brett300zx 2. mrogers 3. skylinedave 4. J1mmytt 5. SMW1
  7. If I'm honest it's a bit like licking your finger and putting it in the air. A new standard engine will handle 400bhp no probs. A knackered engine will hit 400bhp and then break. I've always been a believer in the fact that you should get your engine strong before you put more power on it. An old bookshelf attached to hollow walls will only hold so many books before it breaks. My advise would be to do a compression test first. This will tell you the condition of your piston rings and show up and valve, head gasket problems. Also good to do a boost leak test. Some people will think this is over the top but then that's everyone to thier own. A large majority of people pile on the power without checking the condition of thier engine. Some don't have any problems, others have nothing but problems. If you have loads of time and money then just go ahead and fix things as they break. If you don't have loads of time and money, you should be a little more careful.
  8. First thing you need to do is tighen up all the clamps on the fuel lines. If you can still smell petrol after that. You need to disconnect the fuel pump relay, start the car until it stalls to release pressure in the fuel lines. And disconnect the rubber hose fuel lines one by one checking for leaks and rips.
  9. I would have to agree with deve8uk on this one. There are many views on how to run an engine in, but at the end of the day the guy that builds your engine will tell you how to run it in. If he says keep under 4k rpm for the first 500 miles and you go out and hit max boost at 7500rpm 5 miles later and something breaks, he's not gonna fix it for you. Stick to what your individual builder tells you and you are covered if something breaks.
  10. Used some of them as a support for the frame but most of them I moved onto the grass out of the way. I'll be using them to build a deck covered seating / storage area up the against the shed I also build (6 years ago). I need somewhere to store my ladders etc.
  11. The question is, Do you like it ;) ?
  12. Got a little bit more done on Sunday. Stair footing post holes dug out and posted concreted in place and levelled. Hand Rails started.. what a pain in the butt this job is. Start with a handrail / base rail and cut to size. Then you have to measure the centers exactly, cut the dailrod holes and insert them into the top and predrill the bottom rail holes for screws. Then when the spindles are in place, you need to cut the infils :( it's a hard slug, but I'm getting there.
  13. You can get 245's on there but as mentioned above you would be much better with 235's.
  14. Almost. I needed the height so I couldn't put those ones into the ground. However they have a concrete base under them which each has a 14mm steel rod 10" into the concrete and 6" into the base of each post. Today I did the other two posts at the bottom of the stairs, they were concreted into the ground. Finished one spindel / handrail on the left side of the stairs looking at the house. I need to do another three (one on the right and one either side of the stairs). Hope to have it all finished by the time she gets back, however I'm not cutting any corners so if it's not finished then I guess it's not finished, we'll see.
  15. Nah not seen it mate, Would be tempted to buy that back, it was a great little NA. I thought I mentioned already, I'm married mate oh and also I'm straight ;)
  16. For those that are waiting for the invite to a BBQ at mine. The Weather has held up play. While the wife was away I have decided her surprise her with a nice decking area. It's not finished yet but I hope to have it all done by next weekend. Some pics so far.... before it all started... extension replaced... patio concreted and leveled... Membrane and drainage laid... frame built and levelled... noggin's attached... view so far.... stairs started... stairs almost done... lights inserted.... That's all I've done at the moment. So far it's taken me almost 30 hours labour to get this far. I started with 145 meters of 4"x2" in 3.6 meter lengths, so the time it took to measure and cut the noggin's used up a great deal of that 30 hours.
  17. As mentioned above You can't run two monitors with only one socket, unless you get a splitter but then you would have the exact same on both screens. You need to upgrade your graphics card to one that support dual screens. Then once you have done that in control Pannel and display settings you will be able to activate the other screen, set the display resolution and make one of them primary (for use when an application has only been coded to go full screen on a single monitor setup ).
  18. 3.4 litres including the oil filter.
  19. Nope, not of the Stillens. They are poly not fiber glass so not easy to copy.
  20. It all depends on where the maf if positioned. It there is only one maf on a single intake which then splits into two after the MAF then you don't need to do anything, the MAF will read whatever air passed through it. If the MAF is positioned after the split (i.e. like the Doolz), then you will need a dummy maf on the other side and either a chip that doubles the readings of the MAF or an AFC to adjust the air intake readings.
  21. That's because Si spends most of his time on the American 300zx club forums.
  22. When I first read this, I thought to myself ?. I doubt that Paul would sell a car knowing that it had a problem. Then I was asking myself, did this guy not check the car over. If the problem came to light after 140 miles, how was Paul supposed to know that, it was fine when he had it and it was fine when the guy picked it up. Personally, I think you should count your lucky stars that Paul is offering to sort it for you free of charge, there's not many people around that would do that. You probably just pulled a coil pack loose or something hense the misfire.
