Hardly worth the pertol
Not much of an achievement but I thought it was funny enough to share. At a set of lights with the mrs. A Nova GTE with 2 spotty oinks and their snatch in the back pulled up next to me at the lights. I couldn't believe it when they started revving the engine and then when the mrs told me they were looking over at the car sizing it up, I p*ssed myself laughing. Anyway I let them pull away on Amba with their "jumbo jet" exhaust and wide wheel arches with extra low profile tyres on split rims which looked like they cost three times more than the car itself. I decided to press the green launch button on my traction control and hit the gas, While the revs were bouncing of 4000 rpm, I decided to slip the clutch and we were off. Caught them in first gear and changed to second, had to take foot of gas completely to avoid shooting past them. I pulled along side and heard the high pitch rev limiter of the nova kicking in at about 5500 rpm in second gear LOL. They were leaning forward as you do when you are young because you think it makes the car go quicker. Anyway to sum it all up, the mrs did a classic and wagged the finger at them (not the index) as if to say tut tut, then I looked over gave the snatch in the back a little wink and took the Zed up to 6,000 in 2nd. Couldn't see them in them mirror. At the next set of lights they pulled along size, wouldn't look over. They weren't smiling or talking. The lights went Amba and they were still there. They went green and they poodled along like they were running in the engine - like a dog with its tail between it's legs. Yeah, Yeah I know, pick on someone your own size LMAO

Only if you work for the RAC windscreen division, otherwise I wouldn't bother. Just mask it up it will look just as good.

Dump Valves - VERY confused
I can't answer the dump valve question as thats a little strange. I'm sure there is a logical explanation for it. A Stock 300zx TT should give you about 280BHP at the fly.

???
I think the level of postings on here is just right IMO. A busy forum may be good but is hard work to read through. I like to learn loads about my car so I read every post.

???
That's a better way of putting it. That's kinda what I was trying to say but couldn't find the words.

In defense of the moderators, I guess its a hard job. I mean who this forum is very active and I personally don;t think there are enough moderators. But I see it as our jobs to help out here. All we need to do if we think things are getting alittle out of hand or thee is a little hard core swearing going on is click on the little "report to this post to moderator" hyperlink at the bottom right of each post. ;) We can make this world a safer place for our children LOL. :D

Inner Sanctum
I agree with Gio. Kids like to watch Daddy when the PC is on and they like to read to me. I got quite a shock when they started reading a post from Timmy Turbo while I was browsing a Japanese performance mag, I had about 10 minutes explaing.... telling them that he was saying French Connection United Kingdom (fcuk) clothes looked good. Although the normal forums are usually quite present. I only go to the fight club channel when the kids are in bed.

SUB in boot...
Sure thing James, where are you located ?. I've currently got two projects going on with the car at the moment. One is the ICE setup including subs and the other is the refabricing of the interior panels. I should have my web site up and running soon. It will contain every mod I have done to the car since I got it. I will be adding to this constantly and it already has a section for the subs on there. I just need to find out what NTL has done with my 10 meg of space it promised me.:(

Body Kit Web site's
Yes I did check with the MOT place before I posted my first repsonse earlier up this thread. No spare tyre does not effect the MOT, but a few people tell me its illegal to drive, maybe they are just talking out of their exhaust pipes. :D

SUB in boot...
Hi All, I'm in the process of building ICE setup in the boot. I have done one quarter of the boot so far which is a moulded MDF which fits snug in the corner and holds 2 x 10" 250W subs. I will have another in the other corner which will hold another 2 x 10" 250W subs. In between another moulded unit that will hold my 12 disc changer, then at the back I will have 2 x 200W 6 x 9's each side again in moulded frame (not box) and lastly 2 amps (longmill jx-600 and Kenwood RC645) under perspex with a couple of neon's. You don't need to use Fibre glass if you don't want to. I personally only used it to smooth off the boxes. If you measure it right (I still have the templates I made if you want them) you can do the lot in MDF, then cover it with vinyl or matting. Fibre glass can be bought from Halfords i kits or you can ust buy the P40 which can be sanded to shape. P38 is the fibre matting resin. To get rid of the rattles etc, the license plate can be backed with foam pads. The wiring in the boot (that feds the lights, fog, reverse, brake etc needs to be insulated and tied down) then you can coat the rest in dynamat or brown bread. If you are not too far from me I'm near Ilford / Romford, you could pop by and take a took.

Nissan dealers....pah!
I've herd nothing good about main dealers since I got my Zed. I had work done by Jeff. It was the 60k service in fact with cam belt, water pump, thermostat, new plugs. Had other work as well but the 60k service worked out at around £400. Had no problems with the car at all. I would rather take my car to someone who works on Zeds constantly even someone who works on sports cars constantly. But I just couldn't justify taking my car to someone who works on micra's, I mean theres a big difference.

Body Kit Web site's
Erm, when did I say I was going to the the tool kit out ?. I can't remember telling anyone that. Mabe I had a few beers :D . Anyway, I have found out although you can pass the MOT without a spare tyre it is still aginst the law. But then again it is also against the law to run out of petrol. So I think I need to keep the tyre and tool kit in there for both legal reason and just in case I want to sell the car later on (not bloody likley :D )
