I took the passenger side read panel off last night to re- trim it. I found a ticket like a price tag they used to use in supermarkets with 89-11-17, so I'm guessing my car was built on 17th November 1989. How accurate is that ????

As mentioned above ABS ECU is behind drivers seat. You need to remove the back seat and the drivers side rear seat panel. These are the ABS sensor wires if you need them. Be careful there are two brown wires in the ABS ECU.

Just ordered mine. £101 inclusive of delivery and VAT. Got the one for the 300zx High wing. Only draw back is that they are taking orders for March 2003. So I won't get it until the week of the 17th March.

My mate had a similar problem with his van. The immobiliser stopped working from his remote control. He replaced the batteries in it and still nothing. He left it for a couple of days and then found his battery had died. He charge it up fully and the immobiliser work again. If seems as though batteries loose there charge a lot quicker as it starts to get cold. Some remote alarms have an aerial wire (usually brown in colour, and never connected to anything). If you have one of these you may want to reroute it so it is in a more central location under the bonnet.

I found a couple of date stamps with signatures under the back seats. May want to look here to find the true age of your car if in doubt.

Well At least it's safe to post again. I was thinking that if I said anything it would be taken the wrong way and the moderators would have to move this thread to fight club. So, in short.. Are we all happy with the Z we have regardless of engine, colour or transmition ???. I hope so, because there seems to be far to many arguments starting in this forum recently regardless of who started them. It's Christmas, the season to be Jolly. I bought my car with bald inside edges on the fronts, the rest of the tyre was a little low but ok. I had the tyres changed and then the tracking checked. Guess what ? It was spot on, no adjustment required. How can this be ?

Right I think I've sorted it. Tried to disarm the US (Ultra Sonic not United States LOL) but they didn't seem to be the problem. The door switchs on both drivers and passenger side are earthed by the screw that holds them in place. So I removed the screw gave the metal contacts a wipe and no more triple beeps after the alarm sets. However, this may still be a problem, I'll have to give it a few days to make sure. Thanks for your suggestions anyways guys.

Cambelt changes are due at the 60k mark. But it's a good idea to change the other three belts , water pump, thermostat and plugs at the same time. Just to get it all out of the way. Nissan will charge you about 1k for the 60k service or you can get it done for half the price from Zedworld (where I had mine done, very pleased with the service).

Sorry mate I haven't used Kawa IDE. I use J2E myself. But if it's the same we also use Java_Home as the main variable path for bin and lib dir's.

Engine rebuilds at 80k ?. Can anyone shed some light on this cause I'm on about 76k and starting to crapp myself :D
