Offer to Part Ex Silver Streak
Just to put the record straight. I would not trade my 300 for that. Nor would I buy it if it was £2k and I had the cash to spare.

I knew it wouldn't be a close up. Mac wouldn't let a picture of him on here due to the the risk of it being photoshopped.

What shall i do, sell or not?
Have a real long hard think about it mate. What will you spend the money on ?. Another car that will loose 10% of it's value in the next 6 months ?. Modified Z's like ours shouldn't loose too much off thier value now as the parts in th engine alone would sell for more than a standard whole car.

What a day...
Did you have a HKS mushroom filter by any chance ? The problem with mushroom filters is that they go brittle very quickly with the change in temperature and need to be changed every 6 months to a year. Get yourself an Apexi on there mate. Now that you;ve got a splash panel in place you can't really go wrong.

What came out my fish pond!
I'll get a pic of my old man of the finished product. You need to have a warming device on top of the water, a metal heated rod with polystyrene float keeps an small area clear, I think 300zx_girl had this looking at the square hole in the ice. If the whole area of the pond ices over it prevents poisionious gases escaping and therefore kills the fish eventually.

What came out my fish pond!
Thanks mate, That was half way through the build.

What came out my fish pond!
I finished building this for my dad a few years back, I'd hate to see how much Ice is on top of it now. It's just under 22,000 gallons.

electrical question
Solder yourself an additional earth wire onto the bulb base and ground this on the chasis. See if you still have the problem.

exchange engine v complete rebuild ?
So what you're trying to say is :)

exchange engine v complete rebuild ?
Sell your car and buy mine. Fully rebuilt engine. More goodies than you can shake a stick at :). A full engine rebuild with forged pistons, new injectors and turbo's, clutch, flywheel etc will cost you £4k - £5. For 3k more you can get a whole new leather interior and boot build, a wings west / stillen body kit. a few grans worth of bling under the bonnet and a nice boot install, not forgetting suspension & brake upgrades :). Sounds so nice I sometimes wonder why I'm selling. But getting back on topic as Nick says It's best to rebuild you existin engine than to swap it with a known good one. This way you can find any potential problems while you are rebuilding it. A replacement engine may be cheaper but you don't know what you are getting. And could end up rebuilding it or replacing it again anyway which will work out much more expensive.
