oh no, I think you are thinking ok Tony C who IIRC has 80 psi in 1 chamber and 140 - 150 in the rest. I have 3 chambers down (not all on the same bank either). When we last did a cylinder leakage test (three months ago) it was showing up as follows: Wet readings 1) 140psi 2) 110 psi 3) 100psi 4) 145psi 5) 105psi 6) 140psi

Yep timing is fine :(. Spark is fine apparently :( Fuel is fine :( Compression is not fine :(

Just been informed that if the engine is not running the brakes may not work, is this true ? Any other main reasons I shouldn't tow my car to SE (if the first one above isn't enough) ?

I have fuel pressure, I have turned the CAS by hand and each of the injectors are clicking and squirting. I reckon that after giving it loads of wellie at Box hill, the compression in the dodgy cylinder has dropped so low that it can't start. Oh well I guess I'll cal it a day there and get it towed to SE :(.

I still can;t get any pressure on mine or James300's nor did I get any on Paul Gunns ?. I have a electric compressor as well :confused:

I missed this post erlier. Will try that tonight. Tried to get the socket out of the Intercooler pipe by dropping a magnet down it. 1 slight flaw in that plan. The pipes are metal :rolleyes: Any other ideas ? Do I need to take the front bumper and intercooler off ?

Sounds like you could have a different problem to me, as I have a small spark, whereas you have none. Still, It may be worthing running though the same checks as we are doing, that way if one of us gets it sorted the other is sure to follow.

I haven't tried a new coil but I have tried a workng coil from Cerina's 300zx. And when ever I try something from Cerina's car I put my part on her car to double check that it works both ways. Every part of my car i.e. CAS, PTU, Coil Pack work ok on Cerina's car :confused: It's gotta be an earth problem... anything else would surely stop the plug completely. I will try Willyed's methods tonight and see what happens. Rich, I'll update you if I find the problem. What have you tried so far ? and what are your symptoms ?

Hi Lee, If you want to retrim your seats then I would recommend the http://www.Zcenter.co.uk or http://www.ztoyz.net however Ztoyz can take 3 - 4 months to deliver on average. I'm still waiting for mine and I ordered it back at the start of June. Door material can be replaced with Lever or Vinyl or any other material for that matter. Again Zcenter and Ztoyz can supply the kits, but if you want to save yourself about 75% then you can retrim yourself in Vinyl. Instructions on how to do that can be found on my site http://www.300zx-mods.co.uk/Interior.htm For a new Gear knob, you can either go for an aftermarket one or if you want the original one I would recommend http://www.courtesyparts.com.
